Hi
I was watching Mark work on this at a show on Saturday at Yeovilton and it looks even better in real life.
Captured from the Jordanians and pressed into IDF service gave the Israelis a bit more punch compared to machine gun armed scout cars.
Mark good to see you posting some photos of it, now
what about adding terrible tiger markings in hebrew. Now youve done this one sods law kicks in and Commanders could well be bringing out a new version.

Hay gang sorry for my absence real life getting in the way a bit this last week or so.
There is some truly great work going on here I will catch up on all your builds over the next few days, my build has ground to a halt for the moment I ordered some paint about 2 weeks ago and it has still not arrived I contacted the seller about it and they are going to find out why it has not got to me? It is a PITA as I have a few builds that can not get finished till my paint order arrives .

Lawrence, Wow beautiful work well done.
OK back on the orev now that the paint has arrived! I have painted the bags on the rear in Tamiya khaki and I have done a little more work on the figure. I am not sure what colour the seats need to be so I have painted then the same kahaki for the moment till I find some better reference for them.
I am getting a wooden base made up to mount it on by a friend, just need to figure out what to put on the base?

Scott, you're almost at the finish line. looking forward to the completed model.
As for my M51, I'm almost ready to post some update pictures. Just want to finish up the hull minus the tracks.

Damon. Just outstanding. The paint and weathering is nearly perfect. Sure hope that my efforts are half as good.

Wow Damon! Great looking job on the weathering, looks like metal and not plastic! Hope my little Merkava turns out half as good as your Sherman!
Everybodys projects look just awesome! This is my first campaign and it won't be the last, having a blast with this one!

Thanks gents for the kind words, really appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing the rest of you guys finish, there are some nice models being built here. Cheers.
Assuming that I have time I am going to try to get this one fixed and finished:
I started this when I was 16 or so and there was NO information available about the Mk2. Wish me luck. . . .

Good luck Damon! It looks like a daunting project! Very cool to bring it out after so long? Hope to see it finished even if it's not in time for the campaign. I got a chance to get the first coat of paint on my Merk (between storms/rain). The Sand/Gray really brought out the weathered non-slip surface nicely (pics don't do it justice). Hoping to get some more paint on it soon. The rollers are pressed into place to get an overall look.

Well, it is done. Eduard 1/48th scale Mirage III. The plane depicted is "Shahak 52" circa 1967 with two kills from 101 Sqdn. All in all it was a fun build and I must say I really enjoyed participating in this group build with all of you. There are truly talented modellers in this crew and I enjoyed seeing all your projects. I may complete an F-16A Netz before the deadline so I will try get that one completed for the cause as well.
Regards, Ian

Awesome looking Shahak Ian! Really love the BM finish on it with the various shade modulation. Hope you can finish the Netz as well.
Damon, I used Model Master Israeli Sand/Gray straight from the bottle thinned of course. A couple of light coats over the black undercoat to get the various shade patterns. I think it's called "cloud" shading. Still have some more to do but I like the way it's turning out so far. I'm very happy with the worn non-skid surface, it looks to scale IMHO.

It's hard to believe, but I'm finally up to priming my M51 Isherman. It's been the longest OOB I've done I can remember. Work, home, and family just hasn't allowed much modeling time for the last 6 months or so. At least I should be able to make it to the finish line before the campaign ends.
Here's a few pictures:
