The plan is a small trench system to the rear of the bunker with wounded German troops taken POW and either British or American troops and maybe armour advancing or have taken the bunker. Will have to do a bit more reserch as to where it will be placed and what to use on it
Cheers Keith

Hi Keith,
That’s an interesting dio, must be kind of large! I am looking forward to it!

I will be building a ten man shelter; I like the idea of having soldiers at rest with their personal belongings around them.

Gentlemen,
I have just returned from my trip to the sea. It was a very nice vacation, even though my project of the Norderney tour didn't play out as planned. On Sunday morning before leaving for the ferry to the island, my son caught a wasp with his eye. So we spent the better part of the day waiting in the local hospital, which was rediculously under-staffed. Fortunately my son's eye is OK now and the swelling has gone back to pre-Quasimodo-proportion. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to go on the boat tour to Norderney as planned, as we had other things booked and paid for on Monday already.
Seems that I will have no photo report for you. Isn't life a b**** sometimes?
Cheers,
Guido

Gary, that's kickin! I had to look at it for a minute to figure out what I was seeing though. You may want to consider making the field below the wall tan to better carry the idea of the beachfront across. You don't really even need the red dot German guys in there, although it is kinda cool. It reminds me of playing with red vs blue toy soldiers when I was little, good times

Guido, sorry I didn't see that post earlier. Hope your son's troubles are behind him now. I hope the rest of your trip was good too.
Gary and Jeremy, good ideas on that ribbon.
Watching this campaign from the sidelines,
-Sean.

Here is what I plan on building.

I plan on re-doing the groundwork and adding some figures. I am going to display the scene as pre-invasion. I am looking forward to this campaign getting underway!!

Wow, Academy has/ or had this kit?
I saw this from another company, but in resin.

At the moment I look for good figures for the campaign, but possibly I found some good ones.
I would use 3 or 4 "Alpine"-infantry figures, because I didn´t found suitable artillery-figures.
(not "in-action"; German Panzer-crew and German infantry)

Also I would use some personal weapons (MP-40) and one or two MG-42 from "Tank".
(I shot with the MG-3, which is nearly the same/ actual version as/ of the MG-42... WOW!)
Have you any recommendations? (other figures or other weapons)
Including to this I would add an "RB-Models" 10,5cm K18 ammo-set, from which I would use the empty shells and some grenades.

greetings...

I really have to start planning soon!

Soeren: I am glad you found suitable figures!
Randy: How about raising the ground level and adding a trench, just a thought.
Jeremy: May I suggest one with a Pz 1 turret (http://www.mbmmodels.com/1-35/dolp1-35/dolpbunkers/b3528pic.htm )

Yes, I found some nice looking figures.
But I didn´t bought them yet, because I´m not sure, if they fit to the scene.

I will save the images of them and will later upload and relink them, so that others can help me with their ideas about it.

greetings...

Not a bad idea, I'll have to see if I can source one over here and avoid paying the overseas shipping cost

Yeah... I look forward to this date.
I planned to make one or some propaganda-posters, a printed map and a model of one -very special- book.
For these, I should have some "circa" sizes or I make them "free hand" using the parts and figures as a reference.

greetings...

I´ve started work on my diorama.

Building the gun itself was started some months ago, but now the base is in my focus.
I cut some styrofoam-blocks (from my printed self-made drawing) and glued 3 slices one above the other, to get a good height of these.
Also I used the wooden parts for the covering of the styrofoam-blocks, and cut+glued them together.
Photos will explain that better.

The next step was, to search for "good" propaganda-posters, but perhaps I only will use one or two of them.
Also printed were a small map and the frontpage of a very famous book.
The book itself was completed using a wooden part and black paint (for the rear side), but it seems to be oversized.
So I will make new ones.

But the base-ground has no covering now... perhaps I can use thin styrofoam or plaster, to mimic the concrete-ground.

Planned are some figures from MiniArt, but I didn´t bought them yet.

Pictures will follow soon.

greetings...
Soeren

edit:

My scene will look like this one:
