I am making slow progress on my figures and although my diorama is finished minus the figures, I would still ask if a one month extension can be given?
This would allow me to finish the figures and include them in the diorama.

Jasper looking great, I love the idea of using other builds to finish off a diorama campaign Are you using stretched out gauges for the camo netting

OK, so that are two for an extension Hope the campaign leader will let us know if it is ok.
Sal, yes that is gauge. A single 3 USD pack will last you a lifetime

Err make that 3. I'm still building figures and adding bits to the base so I may well nedd an extension. This is where I am so far...
I still need to put ammo for the howitzer in, sort out the comms post plus repair the bloody howitzer as one of the wheels has literally come off ( ) so it's unlikely I'll be done by D-Day but having said that the op was late anyway...lol

Remember to get the supports into the ground though so they are not just holding up using the fresh air. I remember seeing on Time Team, that the Germans used strong wire at the tops of the support timbers that were anchored back a good few feet and then burried by the spoil heaped on top. The wire helped to stop the timbers overturning from the weight of the soil.
I wish I had got a start on my proposals, but I have not even had a chance to go up to Sheriffmuir to check out the section of mock atlantic wall and take basic measurements.
Ah well !!!!!!!!!!! Is there likely to be an extention to the campaign ?????

Hello! Nice work everyone!
Do we have to upload pictures into a gallery of some kind, or are the finished pictures in the forum OK?
I have had an awful time trying to do anything in the Kitmaker galleries.

Here is a link to the campaign gallery.

Most people have a problem with the size of the file. If I remember right, someone mentioned keeping the size of the image down to 800 pixels horizontal by 600 pixels vertical.

Thanks Gary! I'll give it a try. Any suggestions on how to shrink a picture down?
I love the campaigns and forums, but I've been so frustrated with the galleries that I've gotten to the point where I have thought of just giving up on the campaigns all together. It seems so much easier to put pictures into the forums. I should be more tech savy for my age, but it seems like a bigger problem.
Thanks for the link and suggestion. I'll give it another try.

Cheers Beefy! Like the way yours is coming together. Done a bit more work but still way behind schedule.
Any word on an extension as I don't want to rush this just to finish on time. My British infantry are done, just need to sort out the surrendering Germans and stick bits and bobs in the trench/gun pit?

Looking good, Karl.
Since we are three builders needing an extension and the campaign leader has not given feedback, maybe Gary Kato could take a management decision and extent the campaign a month?
I could really use some time to do the figures right and do not want to have a diorama without any troops in it.

Hello all,
I am really sorry for my delay in replying , extension has been granted!! Just let me know how much time you would like.
@Sal: congratulations on the completion of your dio, it looks real sweet!
@Keith: Great work, that is a beautiful depiction of the D-day landings. Can’t wait to see it completed.
@Karl: that looks real good, can’t wait to see some figures on it!!
@Jesper: That’s a great dio, I like how you placed the figures around and that camo net is great.
@Soeren: It is unfortunate that your base has warped, but there will be an extension so I hope that you will try starting a new base, I was really looking forward to seeing your build.
Again I am really sorry for my absence, I am currently in the middle of my A’levels and all I have been doing is studying with barely any time for my friends and models (I am only building small, single pieces).
Great progress everyone, and I will give everyone a two month extension (if that sounds good)
Regards,

Hi Vladimir, a two months extension sounds very good!
I hope, to finish my dio until then.
I have to buy a new (and/or more stable) base and make new styrofoam-parts.
I will try to make the concrete-ground using thin plastic-foil, to prevent warping the wood during the dry-process.
(thanks Nige!)
Also I think, I will glue the styrofoam-parts later onto the base, after filling it with the "concrete".
I lost a lot of time during a kind of disease, which with the time disappears.
But from time to time I have "bad" days and need medicines.
So I hope to start again and can work more quickly.
greetings...
Soeren

Perfect with the extension, Vlad! Then I will get all the figures painted and add the finishing touches without rushing.
Good luck on the A levels!

Today I´ve bought a new picture-frame (for the base - same size as the previous one) and I hope to build or make a good base from this one.
Great looking diorama and nice looking barbed-wire, Keith!
(I had my experience with barbed-wire.)
greetings...

Nice progress, Keith. The Layout is good and the story great.
The only thing that looks a little out of place is the ladder. The slope does not seem like it would require a ladder to traverse and the ladder also kind of "floats" on the ground assuming the soil would be sandy and not rock hard.
I have made a little more progress on my diorama. Three of the five figures are in place. The next two pretty far progressed.
Sorry the pictures are grainy. I have no access to my camera right now, so had the use the Iphone 4. Not bad for a phone, but not really that good picture quality for close ups.
More to follow soon.
These two should soon join the others in the diorama.
