@ Jesper: Looking forward to your dio, I am sure it will deserve that case!!
@ Keith: Great outline, I can tell it’s going to look real good! Keep us updated!
It is kind of embarrassing but I still haven’t started work on my dio. I hope to start work on it soon.
Regards,

Happy new year to all!
In mid november I built and photographed my first figure for this campaign.
Now I had time to upload, resize (were made smaller) and link the images here.
It is MiniArt´s "german soldiers at rest" and I will start building the other figures now.
I have to fill or sand some parts (connection between arms and body), but the details are excellent!
greetings...
Soeren

Hello! I'm glad I saw this as I have an "Atlantic Wall Flak Bunker" from Verlinden in my stash waiting for something like this.
Soeren and Keith, those look great so far! Kinda funny that I'm in the stage of debating whether to use my figure set that is "at rest" or the one that is "surrendering". pics soon.

Hello to all, some days ago I´ve finished some more figures.
For these, I tested a technique using the fluid plastic.
Using this, there was it possible, to fill some seam-holes and fix some problems.
Photos were made, but will resized, uploaded and linked later.
Since some days I made a stop for all of my projects... including the "CAD/CAM"-based ones. (russian/soviet space-satellites) due my hands and my body "tremble". (correct translated?)
greetings...

Hi all,
Got some work done on my FLak bunker over the weekend. It fit together pretty well once I shaved some extra plaster off a few pieces.

Thanks Soeren!
How's everyone's build going? I was hoping to post finished pictures today, but instead I had to deal with a crack all along the bunker. I'm not sure what happened...the plaster I used for the groundwork was laid 3 weeks ago, so that had to be dry by now. And the model wasn't moved overnight.
Maybe the B-17 from the shelf was intimidated and decided do something about it before I added the figures to man the gun...
Either way, I think I fixed (hid) the crack, and I should be done by tomorrow!

Hello guys,
I'm done! (after fixing some barbed wire that my cat decided to pull off the posts)
Any comments/criticisms are welcomed as I'm entering it in a show this weekend, and might have time to make some last minute adjustments.
This is a great campaign idea. I wish more people joined up! It also gave me a great excuse to pull this out of the stash, and I'm so glad I did.

I'm currently working on an FH18/40 which I was going to stick into the artillery campaign but hadn't decided what to do with it until the other night when I saw this Campaign. Is it okay if I stick this in as part of a gun emplacement for the Atlantic wall campaign as over the last couple of days I've been making the wooden trench walls So far the trench system is non existant so I suppose that would qualify as unstarted as all I've done is the trench walls.

Hello everyone.
@ steve-o: That is a great bunker steve-o, congratulations on the completion for the campaign. Nice job on the figures, their facial expressions are well done. Best of luck at the at the show. May I ask from what set you got the open ammunition case?
@ L Littlewood: It would be nice if you join this campaign, especially if you are planning to build that bunker.
@ Karl: Not sure if that particular artillery piece was used on the Atlantic wall, but I think it would be alright. Welcome aboard!
@ Nige: That is a dml set, it is set 6574 “German warriors 1940-41”
Regards,

My intention is to have 50th Inf Div clearing the position of a number of German POW's (the gun and pill box crew). To be honest I'm not sure if the leFH18/40 was in place near Gold beach as all the references I've got are pretty vague/non existant re which german arty was in place where so it's a bit of a stab in the dark for me really as it was in widespread use. Any info would be greatly received

Thanks guys!
Vlad, you are right, that's the DML German Warriors set.
The open MG ammo boxes are included in most "Generation 2" sets that comes with an MG34 or 42. The MG34 in the pic is also opened up, and you can even see the spring in there. Those Gen 2 weapon sets are really soemthing.
The only problem is that the bullets linked together in the DML ammo belts are much larger than the ones in the ammo box. So, you can't really use them side-by-side, or extend the bullets from the box to the gun without it looking really odd.

Great build, Steve-o. Very nice weathering on the bunker.
Very cool layout, Karl. Looking forward to see more.
I have made a little more progress on my bunker. It is slow, but steady progress. More to follow.
