Looks great Paul...
Which part, the Leopard 2 or the figure?
You could leave them as is and have something great to show Paul, I seriously am looking forward to seeing that weathering!

Rob: very nice work. The painting for both is excellent.
I've managed to get the horses mostly ready. This is just before some primer on the added bits, then some flat black tomorrow.
I've really been struggling with the tack and how to hook them up. The instructions are kind of clear, but differ from the box art in that on the box, two of the horses are saddled and the team is guided from the riders in the saddle. I want mine to be driven from the vehicle, so not sure about the reins. Oh well, maybe they do it differently in the post-apoctolyptic future
Happy Modeling, -zon

"I consider myself better armed and equipped for the vast wasteland than many others," noted the gray-haired warrior. "And while I may only wear light body armor, I still pack quite a punch. The vast wasteland of Maryland could be an unforgiving place. Fortunately, the friends and places I've visited have been kind to me…and I'm a pretty good shot and scavenger."
He saw me glancing over his attire and gear and then his one exposed eye gleamed and he smirked with slight contempt.
"You wanna know? Then check me out…I've a sub-M6 with attached 40mm M203. I've three 40mm grenades and three frag grenades. I got 120 rounds of 5.56mm. These are two EMP grenades on my chest. I mean there are warriors out there who don't have half the stuff I have."
He saw me looking at his black eyepiece. "EIED" he claimed, "Enhanced Interception Engagement Device with laser designator and night vision. Using this, I can bullseye a rodent at 500 meters with the M6. And this…" His left hand pointed to his holster, "…is my laser pistol. I found it
in Newcastle shanty. Pretty good gun and coupled with VATS, I could target a rodent at 100 meters."
He then pointed to his back. "Sword…bought it from a caravan not too long ago. Solid steel, rare, and pretty sharp. I used it a couple of times to hack a killer robot into pieces. Comes in handy for close-quarters combat."
His finger pointed first to his belt and then to his mouth. "I got my transistor radio here and my mouthpiece. Whenever I ally with a faction, the mouthpiece and radio helps me communicate with their command central." The finger then pointed to other places on his body. "Steel knuckles, ankle knife, laser batteries, First Aid, radio batteries, VATS batteries, compass, and some antidote and anti-radiation pills," he said as he explained the contents of his pouches on his web belt.
"Yep…I think I'm lucky to have these tools to survive out here. Oh, and my name…Damon Burke, freelancer assault sharpshooter of the Wasteland." He pointed to the two red emblems on his body armor collar. "I'm currently working for Diamond Red Guards out in Brookhaven. They pay pretty well."
---------------
I bought this 120mm Verlinden resin figure from eBay labeled as "Cyborg Hunter VV5019." Since I never saw one, I suspect it was pretty rare. The figure reminds me of the video game "Fallout 3" and I've wanted a futuristic Science Fiction Resistance fighter figure for some time….this figure fits that need nicely.
Fit and quality are both excellent and I had fun building and painting it. Most of the figure is out-of-the-box. I added extra parts from Verlinden: ALICE ammo pouch, three frag grenades, and two small cylinders from my spares box.
The figure's base is superglued to a resin Secret Weapon base and the rubble from 120mm cobblestones and various bit and pieces from my spares box. The figure was first primed with Tamiya primer and then painted with Vallejo acrylics.

Peter: Your extra touches made for a very convincing base, the figure had to be fun to paint! Great backstory as well!
Paul: Excellent work as usual, I can't get over your figures!
Alright everyone, we are wrapping it up today. It's been a pleasure watching everyone's creativity unfold! I'll give everyone one week to get their photos up in the gallery if you haven't already. I will start awarding ribbons next week. Please let me know if any of you are experiencing difficulties of any kind, just send me a pm. I hope to see all of you in the next campaign!
Happy modeling!

My pleasure Phil I wish we had Leopards over here as well, but the Abrams is one heckuva tank!
I am open to running another What If campaign if there are enough of us interested. Probably won't be until next year though as we are in campaign overload with all the great ideas coming out. We don't want to lose Gary to madness

I'm toting a full campaign schedule at the moment. But I'm in as long as it's beginning next year at the earliest.
Anyway, it's been a fun campaign. I've enjoyed seeing everyone's insanity...I mean work. I enjoy building stuff like this and it's been good to be able to share some of it.
I'll definitely be looking forward to What If 2 just as much as I'll be looking forward to End of Days 2.

Aloha all,
I'd be up to replay the What If campaign, even as I struggle to finish this one!!
The horses have been base painted, but I don't know that I'll get to them before Monday.
But I have finished assembly on the vehicle:
The stowage is nowhere near complete, but I threw it on just to see how some of it sized out.
I should be able to get a couple of washes and some weathering on the thing tonight.
Happy Modeling, -zon
