Zon;

Thanks for lettin' us-all off the hook on the crying bit! I was afraid I was going to have to head off into a serious weeper-jag and get all dried-out and stuff! Whew! Moisture left for another deserving down-trodden beaten-upon innocent!

The -10 was my third build after getting back to the plastic following a 35 year break. A S**T-load of fun it was!

BOB...I have no "hidden agenda" with this tank and hauler.I just saw a chance to close out my back story and took it But since it was mentioned ,I might be able to come up with some Becherish improvments to Hitlers escape pod.We will see.
Zon...I did cry a little.I feel very sorry for a person that has to put up with such adverse weather conditions
Phill...Looking forward to the re- emergence of THE BEAST
But the biggest part of this update is that I think I am done with the "F'.
I desided to take one more step with the weathering,or storage dust and dirt if you will.Thinking about it,with all the activity trying to get the tank started,heavy equipment rolling about,alot of dust and dirt was dislodged,Which of course landed on the tank.
Heres where we where
And heres where we are now
You can see that they got it started by the hint of soot on the exhaust ...
Where they spilled some oil topping things off...
And a little bit of wet mud and goo from a short test drive to make sure everything worked...
I ended up weathering it about the same,front and rear so I could change the position of the tank on the trailer to suit my mood.
And finally a different over all angle...
What do you think?J.T.

Jeff: I think the new weathering works well. That bunker must of taken some hits. Perhaps a hatch or two should be cleaner as if it were opened and the debris fell off? Anyway, looks good.

Also, I recall you had asked about foot stencils or such... Caliber35 makes boot print stamps. Or, you could make some masks out of tape by outlining a figure's foot wear.

Jeff;

Herr Hitler's escape-pod, eh... hmmmm. Knowing as the good Oberst Becker was hardly much of an ardent Adolph-fan, I'd be curious as to what he might do with such a pod! Could be a devilishly-clever foul-up in Der Fuehrer's last toy

The Ride looks very different, now! I can easily envision a rain of concrete dust and little bits from the bunker ceiling - I think you have captured that well in almost every way. Maybe add in some really fine dusting on just the top - most surfaces to get the fine dust which would be the case?

Looking at it, the only thing which bothers me a little at this point is the lack of a clean or less-dusted "pattern area" which would have been under the turret while in the bunker. I would assume that the turret would have been oriented fore-and-aft in storage, and thus there would be some areas of the hull deck sheltered from dust and revealed by the now-rotated turret? Just a thought! The boot-prints and some less stuff by an accessed hatch could tell some story, too, seeing as the GI's have fired the bad puppy up and been around a block or three in it!

NICE!

Hakan:

FUN!

With all that extra weight back in the rear - armored body and a zillion cans - OK, a baker's dozen at least - too - I'm fascinated that those rear fenders even clear the wheels, let alone ride so high and proud! Bet it's cross-country performance matches that of the cool - and -modern - looking SdKfz 222 ... Did OK on good roads! Oh, wait! "Hans! Doesn't this thing have All-Rad 4x4?"...!

Is there any sort of story to go along with this beastie?

No work during the week due to snow is a beautiful thing.
With the exceptions of Herr Becker's mods,which will be ergonomic in nature,I am done.Thank you all for your suggestions,they made a big difference.

I will post pics to the gallery later in the year when I can get outside.Don't worry,this is not my last post.Like it or not you guys are stuck with me to the end J.T.

Jeff;

Foot-prints (like size 13 row-boats!) and a nice, dirt-free, sheltered area around that turret. YES! Great job and super cool-looking! I'd hate to meet the guy what left those tracks over your kitty - specially not when he was all angered and stuff!
