Alex: Looks like you have your work cut out for you. I'll be paying close attention.
Ian: I'm a recent(well over the past year) fan of LAVs. Always enjoy watching the build.

Hi Ian,
I will be doing the same kit, I wanted to get some AM goodies for it but that is not possible now so will be detailing it the old fashioned way.

Cheers Rob.

Hey All. I'm in for my second campaign with a Trumpeter T-54/55 in Braille Scale, my prefered canvas. I want to do an ex-Taliban beast with a one off camo scheme of yellow/blue/black swirls over russian green I spied on a Bison Decal sheet. Looking forward to seeing all the cool builds here. *o*

Here's the example of the Taliban T-55 I plan on doing. It's the second one down on the left. Think it's pretty cool.

Matt, I'm going to try for this one after all. I think I'll go for a German GTK Boxer to compliment the many Strykers that are adorning this campaign.

Kerry: What are you talking about? They're ALL pretty darn cool! I've had my eye on that set for quite a while but I've never had a real use for them. It's one of those decal sheets that's worth building each vehicle on the list

Good choice there Kerry!! I built a T-54 or 55 some time ago for another Campaign and your's just might make me get it again and use that same set up! I like it!

Well all my PE and tires came in the mail yesterday for the M1117, and I am so pumped too! This will be my first attempt at multiple PE applications to a 1/35th kit. Usually it's a little here or there and on 1/16th, but this involves 2 PE sets and the weighted tires too.

Good thing, I want to get back on the Guardian right away too!

And my 1/16th Panther as well. I work on it in-between down times since I don't battle anymore and probably won't anymore. I have way too many of those to build yet too.

Small update. I added the little part which was forgotten on the rim. I put it in different positions to look more realistic. I made the little holes between bolts like on the real wheels.

I began the interior with the bars and the vertical plate.

Anyone see these new figures from Evolution Miniatures http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/evolution.html for Afghanistan and Iraq 2003-2005.

No connection with the company, just wondered what everyone thought of them?

I have this one and I think I will buy the others.

I'm agree with you, I just think hands are a little squared and I'm not sure the position of the M4 carbine is very realistic.

You need to build the micro branch which is not in the kit.

I think that Evolution Miniatures produce some of the finest figures to be found. I find myself buying figures and building with them as the base.

Thanks for everyone's input on the Evolution figures. I have yet to receive my Legend package but since I know nothing about these I wanted to leave myself an out.

The word on where the pour-block is at on what I bought has me concerned so I may be looking into these instead. Plus, I only have 2 coming and this set has many more, so it might be better, depending on the price.

Hi Jimmy, PM sent. The Kinetic kit is okay, i just feel that the details are crude and chunky. The instructions are not very clear either, and there are some issues with scale and accuracy. Maybe I'm just spoiled.

So, instead of working on the M-ATV I decided to work on the RSOV which will be built for one operating in 2002 in Afghanistan. Hobby Boss did a great job on this one and it went together very quickly.

Cheers everyone

Alex: I definitely will be watching the Evolution figures. I have an M1A2 SLEP in my stash and want to make a little vignette of it in the Middle East.
Zelyk: From what I can tell, that is a nice kit. What's with the photos being blurry? And, can you put more light on them?
