Piping up-date
Almost finished, just have to attach the last piece;
Just an example of how I made the individual parts;
The 2 parts connected ready to be installed.
For one thing they are too large but I dont have anything smaller and I had a bad enough time getting them unglued from my fingers to glue them to the model. Just too big & cubby fingers.
Another thing I learned is that I now have a great respect for scratch builders; besides the expertise in construction they must have one hell of a stock.
Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.

Wow Bob, that looks like itīll even be serviceable. What
are you gonna fuel it with, Zippo Lighter fuel and Fairy detergent ?
Sal your build is speeding along, youīve been at that rocket fuel again havenīt you
Steph now I know why you left the back of the seat off.
If I was 1/35 scale I would definatly not want to meet that dude , looking cool all the same.
Conor your figures are great, and I bet you can paint em just as good as you put em together , Iīm glad I only have 1 to do and who knows what heīll look like

Paul, No Rocket fuel for this build, even though thats what mu wife calls my coffee Im a bum that sits home and collects a pension
@ Bob scratch build looks great are you sure that this thing is not really going to work
I have made some progress on my base and took the liberty of adding some trees to the front left of my Tiger that is not seen in the photo
and a rock in the ground on the left side
a view from the rear like the photo I am using
I forgot to paint the inside of the turret then get working of these figures not 1 of my strong points
Suggestions and comments are always welcome

Hi there,
whatīs wrong guys thereīs nothing changed in the last few days. Have you all gone to the pub and not told me
@ Sal: 46 and a pensioner I think I envy you
It must be wonderful not having to go to that place they
call w k and get money for it too
Your Tiger looks cool even without the inside of the
turret being painted, but I would hit the thing with
the oils and pigments to give some more life and remember
to give the tracks some shiney stuff on the raised areas.
(Only my two cents)
Well not done much, been at the other campaigns and too much bloody w k:
Here the masking for the green which is going to be Humbrol
129:
caculated and partly proven guesses:

Now Iīm going to the Pub without you lot

Good afternoon everyone,
it was good fun down the pub last night , itīs a shame you all couldnīt come.
Well here we go then for todays progress, itīs the green part of the camo. Itīs made up of Humbrol 129 and a drop of
67 Panzer grey. Thereīs a little over spray but nothing that canīt be sorted later
Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday Iīll mask of again and add the "red brown" which will be Humbrol 67 and a drop of white 34.
Good night Iīve got to catch up on some sleep

Man everyone is doing great and all I have is the thing riding in the back of one.
Almost finished product, I noticed some prints and excess paint in a couple of spots, a couple of brackets and have to finish the last two cables.
Out of a possible 10 I give this a 6, I'm still in the learning stage;
Parts before assembly;
And assenbled;
I think I'll start on the USS Fubar 1st before the LVT 4.
Great work guys and thanks for the comments,
Bob

@ Paul the 3tone camo looks great almost like my urban camo .45acp
@ Bob the scratch work is looking real good the paint even looks like that thick battleship gray that 1 sees on navy ships. Looking forward to seeing more
I have made some progress on my figures and added some weathering, wear to the tracks and painted the interior of my turret. I was hoping to finish it up this weekend but I'm sidelined with a fever and bad sinus infection uggg

Paul,
I have found this photo of early style Tiger wheels http://www.alanhamby.com/Gallery/earlywheels3.jpg
note how the treads extend out over the road wheels
Then there is this photo of the steel wheels
there is overlap on the tracks in my photo so its difficult to tell if they are rubber or steel wheels
Which ever it is they are staying the way I have them

Made some small progress this weekend and finished the side skirts. These were scratch build using sheet styrene, a sharp no 11 blade and a razor saw and of course some fine grit sand paper and corus cloth. Bolt heads need to be attatched at the top of the left and all on the right still. There are also several small holes that will need to be drilled on both sides. Once this is done, backets and test the mounting and then paint. Wish me luck.

Hi guys,
Paul(1721Lancers): love the camo on that Panther even though it is a bit spotty
Conor(panzerconor): nice progress on the figures
Steph(steph2102): amazing interior detail you have done. Will keep an eye on the build
Sal(ltb073): nice work on the vehicle and the figures
As for me, the progress is rather slow due to my commitment in another campaign. Below is the photo which I'll model my kit
Since the theme is about Christmas, I'm thinking about adding a red sack to the standing figure as only half him is shown on the photo (what do you guys think?). However, Santa is done
The christmas tree is somewhat completed. The challenging bit is to trim a few leaves to match the one on the photo
The LVTP5 has been given a basic coat of offwhite. More progress will be posted soon

Hi all,
@ Muhammad: I think I need some f bifoculs, you are the second person to tell me itīs a Panther Iīm building
Is it an early, mid or late version
I aint sure anymore
Any way, Iīve found some old ICM figure parts and Iīve
operated these together .
I know itīs not quite the same pose as in the picture but
I hope itīs acceptable
Thereīs still some sanding and possibly some minor op work
to do on him. But if that doesnīt kill him them the paint job will
maybe Iīll just send him to Conor or Sal, they seem to be the figure experts here

Hey Gang, I am back in action
@ Paul thanks for posting my message Tank and figure look great and by the way I'm no figure expert but thanks for the complement
@ muhammad you look like the figure expert your build is coming along nicely
I thought I was finished with my Tiger tending then took some photos
At first I thought the shine was just the flash but then I looked at the build in better light and there is a shine but it was sprayed with Dull Coat so i think I need a dusty wash on them, what do you guys think.
I also have to move the turret a bit to the left
:[]-- Got power back Sunday nt. but then Monday we lost the Oil Burner, wife switched oil companies and never told them that we get an oil delivery every October Then a Noreaster dropped 6 inches of very wet snow on us last night but so no problems other than a 1 hour train ride home from school took 4hours and wife had to come and get me 5 towns over where the train stopped.

Sounds like you've had an eventful day. We had a freak October snow storm wipe out nearly all the power for a week here in Western MA, but it pales in comparison to Sandy. As or the model, a dusty wash looks like the best option.
