Stunning work Gary. Don't suppose you have a quick guide on how you paint your tarps? Have a set on their way to me and would like to se how other's attack them...

HMMMMMMM... I wanna bike now too. Where did you get it from and how much do you charge to paint them?

Yellow works for me, so you don't have to buy any special paint.

Thanks for the kind words fellas, i appreciate it very much!

Jeff - you figured me out! I work for Santa during the holiday season. You noticed im not comitted to anymore campaigns till after January didnt ya! Got lots of goodies for tha children to paint before Christmas....

Phil - The wheels are molded to the frame so yeah...it was a BIT*H to paint.

My nephew gave me the bike but its from a Tamiya set that comes with 2 bicycles and 2 figs with some gear.

Heres where the stowage will be when finished. Its not glued in place, but the bike im not sure just yet where its gonna wind up. It could be secured on the rear like this.

Any suggestions fellas? Thanks for looking!

Very nice job there Gary !! As usual ! Perfect painting on the stowage & Stug !!!

try to add some chain or metal cable to secure the bike otherwise I will fall off the tank in those rough terrain of the Eastern Front ..
Some weathering on that bike too... but they could have steal a brand new from a store.

I would "throw" the bike on top of the stowage all the photos I have seen are that way inclined.

Cheers Mike

Gary, fantastic job! It is a pleasure to the eyes
But I'm with Mike on this one, at least i would like a pic with the bike thrown on top of the stowage. I too have seen pics that tended that way. Anyway it is just AWESOME BRO!!

Thanks so much for the awesome comments fellas. Means alot!

Ive made some progress. Applied a wash, did some weathering on the tracks and lower hull, glued most of the stowage in place. Im still unsure what im gonna do with the bike. I may leave it off and have it leaning on a fence with a fig next to it or the like. I just dont like it on the stowage or on the back. I still have lots to do to wrap up the Stug. Wheres what i have now.

Thanks for looking fellas!

Hi Gary,
take it easy man, the StuG is looking fantastic . Don´t
overdo it with the weathering.
Just one question, why´s the bike standing upside down?
I hope you haven´t been riding it and made a puncture on it , that will be difficult to repair, specially the rear wheel

That's easy... he's putting the chain back on! Either that or he's placing those playing cards on with clothes pins so it can make that familiar noise over the spokes.

That bike is just over the top man! Nice touch.

Gary,

Your Stug looks great. As for the bike; there is one photo in a Concord book that sticks in my mind where the bike is resting on the rear with the wheels on the fender and the handelbars over the gear on the rear deck. Plus, I think there were a couple of guys riding on there holding the bike in place while on the move.

Either way, it's a great build and congratulations on your awards from the recent show that I saw on your Grief blog.

Keep up the good work.

I am way late to this campaign, and looking at Gary's awesome work I'm a bit hesitant to start, but here goes. I took this before shot some time ago. Based on my age and the size of the stash I figured I better start building 'em two at a time or my kids are going to inherit a bunch of kits!

So here they are. I've already done a bunch of work, and will try to take and post those pictures this weekend.

Some nice work Gary, one of these days I will have to put some stowage on a Stug. Contest this weekend so I rushed to finish my Stug IV. No crew as I just stripped the paint off them as I wasn't happy with there faces. My apologies for the lack of depth of field, someday I'll figure it out

I just pulled the Dragon Stug IV with zimmerit out of my stash and thought I'd join in if it is not too late ..I forgot to take a picture of it before I sanded the wheels..
I'll take a picture before I go any further..
This will be the first time I build two kits side by side as I'm building a Pz IVH for the D-Day campaigne.. Hope I'm not in over my head !!

And thanks for the link on the barb-wire. I'll be giving that method a try.
