Hi Phill,
here´s one for thought:

It´s a British 120mm APFSDS DU round , most certainly
a tank destroyer. I just have no idea on how to make a banner

Ribbon? How about something like this? Nothing really spectacular. It sort of has elements from several vehicles. Not sure about colors but I went Red Bands for Artillery.

Well I think both Paul & Alex's idea's are great, I would just give the nod to Alex as you can tell his is self propelled?

Just my two cents worth & both better than anything I can come up with!!

Well done to both

Cheers Mike

Sal .. Oh i do like that one ..that little one in the right corner lost amongst all those others

Paul .. Sometimes i wish you could just shrink down a pic to a ribbon cause that pic would be very cool ,,nothing better than a SABOT round

But Alex has hit the nail on the head with that ribbon ..it covers both types of vehicles ,,it looks like either a SPG or a tank killer ..Alex ,, well done man ..thats the ribbon we will us

Phill, I've done some similar stuff in the past but I really got lucky on that one. I really didn't have to do any tweaking to it. I think the trick is to keep it as simple as possible. Anyway, glad to contribute.

Hi all,
I like Alex ribbon to and I´m also glad you all do.
I´ve just tried to shrink mine to a ribbon size and it all went to hell, just a mess of pixels that didn´t resemble anything.

Paul,

Your one was very interesting as well, and if it looks a mess after shrinking it well then it would resemble its target lol

I should also give a shout to Andrzej Snigorski's tutorial on making ribbons. It was very useful in getting set up to make it.

This is the first Campaign I cannot wait for as I will attempt two simultaneous builds at once.

The Trumpeter Geschutzwagen Ivb Sdkfz:

And the Dragon le.FH18/40/2(sf) auf G.W.Pz.Kpfw.III/IV:

By that time I should have either my paint booth ready, the workbench cleared off and ready or totally lost my mind by then and 2 builds won't really matter.

I have to follow your Trumpeter build, I was planning to do that same kit, but I'll go for the Sturer Emil instead... I think. I might change my mind...

Well I messed up.
As some of you know I take kits to work and work on them during my breaks. On Monday I didn't have anything ready and grabbed the kit for this campaign thinking it had started on a good note I didn't get a lot done and realized my mistake when I got home.

Cheers Rob.

You do that John (and by the way don't quit your day job) but remember, don't rush through your build! You don't want to have to add spare tires and such on the tank to conceal things.

And Rob, we'll let you slide ... this time. As long as you grab the next round of refreshments.

I really wonder why they put out the 85M kit. It's basically an SU-100 with a 85MM gun. Easy one to modify.

Checked the stash, Trumpeter's Emil + Dragon's Hummel + metal gun barrels for both kits are just waiting.
Looking at me asking to get a spot on the workbench... just a few more days...

Hope to wrap up construction on the paint booth so I have room for this Campaign.

Might even be a delay on starting.

John,

Speaking of the Sturer Emil and Hummel, Dennis Trowbridge just posted a shot of the captured Emil on Missing Lynx: http://www.network54.com/Forum/47207/thread/1343079618/a+few+interesting+photos I think there is a Hummel right behind the picture of the Jagdpanther too.

I actually have a Sturer Emil, with a metal barrel and modelkasten tracks as a candidate for this campaign, still haven't made up my mind.

Thanks Nate !
Great pics .

I was divided between a Dragon's Dicker Max but I chose a Trumpeter's & a Dragon kit.
2 Dragon kits would be hell.. I would have a clean death by instructions sheet...
