What if?
I have a 1/35 Leopold & 2 King tigers in the stash, I could mount the Leopold Gun carriage on the hulls of the 2 tigers..
Now that I've said that, Dragon will bring out a kit of it...

Whilst digging through my models I found the Trumpeter Geschutzwagen IVb hidden down there for a few years.
Maybe I should build it and the le.FH18/40/2(sf) auf G.W.Pz.Kpfw.III/IV side-by-side since they're both very, very similar?
I gotta whittle down this stash very quickly or I sell the stuff to make room there.

This will work out just perfect for me since my next project was going to be the Early and Late Brummbars. The Mid is just about finished at this time and I was about ready to start on a Cyber Hobby white box Early.
Looking forward to having fun with this one.

Bill has me convinced to try Model Kasten tracks

Yes ... I've had it for that long. Like most of my kits too.

Holy crap Jeff ..had them since 08 ?
,,me i am gonna stick with the Firul's ..for me they are easier to play with and they make perfect extra armour, with the weight of the metal they sag so nicely

I'm just afraid that they will involve too much clean up. Is that true?

To be honest with you dude ,,i would say nothing that bad really ..the metal is easy to clean and its super small stuff ..i have built over 10 sets so far and not once have i ever had a problem with them ..you need to drill out the pin holes to bang the tracks together but even that isn't a problem .. tell you this bud ,,i have had more trouble putting together AFV Club and Bronco tracks then i have with Firuls .

Well, not a Bronco fan. It started out okay, but really as the link total rose, problems started right away. AND, those AFV Club tracks!
I have a set (I think so) that got me off on the wrong foot right away and quit after the first 2 links.
The MK's look easier to build than most and are a bit cheaper than the Friuls are. Metal tracks sound great though.

Ok this will surprise you then ,,MK's here are just as expensive as Firul's here sometimes .. your right about the metal tracks tho ...they hang exactly like the real thing with out glue ..and if you put a little to much on the MK's you will glue them together ..AKA buggered
If you slightly over glue the F's you just twist the track up and down and it will free up and your ready to go
Strange as this will sound ..for an AM Sherman tracks ( no matter whos they are they are a pain to build ) expect the Firul's ..they was a total pleasure to build .
Strange but true

Well, I think the LHS has some I bet I can talk them down on price. I want to keep the fun factor high and since most of these kits I paid for a while back, laying down a few bucks won't hurt too much.
I really like the tracks in the DML T-19!!
Those are really a no-brainer!
I'm having too much fun already and the Campaigns really haven't started yet but I like to flood myself with stuff to do, just wish I had thought of multiple Campaigns before!! I could have been banging them out long ago!

I think once you have had a play you;ll love em dude ..get a set for a ,,oh i dont know .. say a Panther

Hi Phil,
Sorry to disappoint but I'm going to put the Leopold idea on hold for now. May be an idea to do it in 1/72 at some point though. Im going to continue with Plan A , the M18 but I would like to run with the Bronco Diana as well. The Leopold idea, though suggested in fun does bear some research & prep though. I'll keep you posted.
Cheers, AndyC.

Andy,
If you do decide to run with the M18 & if you need it & I can work out my new scanner I have the operating handbook manual stashed away some where.
Let me know if it interests you
Cheers Mike
