I will have to put Friuls on that for sure.
Too bad the finishes won't match but I can always call it my "Silver N Gold" build.
Thinking of doing the same for my le.FH18/40/2(sf) auf G.W.Pz.Kpfw.III/IV too.
After those Bronco tracks ... I will avoid assembling tracks with cement for awhile.

Having the same sort of thoughts about the M2 .. even that little Marder looks too good to paint .. the annoying thing is even if ya paint the tracks, road wheels and such it will still look wrong .. this could become a real pain in the butt ,but i am sure i could live with it

Well, I won't. These are not modeling contests so I can care less if they have paint on them.
But, that's just my opinion and what I was thinking too. After all, that IS a lot of money for such a small project.

Well, define "totally finished". I mean in the literal sense, yes ... painting is the final stage of model building. BUT, if your intent is to show and tell how PE works and is applied/constructed, then painting doesn't necessitate it being "finished".
Now, I wouldn't encourage this type of building nor start a trend to leaving models unpainted, but it would be MY MONEY and if it really came down to denying one a ribbon over that, then so be it.
I would though do some painting, like maybe some details? Maybe some markings? Paint the figures? But I do love the look of at least ONE of my models having the "Voyager Look" with all that bling glittering.
I know it's a stretch but maybe a PE Campaign to have ALL finished models without paint. Now, how would that look, huh?

:D Ohh buddy I think we are in enough trouble already with our campaign ideas but that short of campaign would be pretty damn interesting ,,expensive but interesting
One thing is for damn sure .. it would be the brightest campaign Armorama has ever seen .. hell you and i are to blame for the biggest one

Hey guys a few thoughts here my $.02
I think a model is finished when the modeler determines that it is finished weather its painted or not
But on the other hand if you want to show all the "Bling" you should build civilian "Hot Rods"
As far as the PE Campaign goes Matt Nethery proposed 1 with a similar idea called Devil's in the Details here
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/186090&page=1
But not many people seamed interested and I think the idea fizzled out

I wouldn't want to head up a Campaign like that, talk about opening "Pandora's Box". And two, the idea wouldn't float ... at least not for everybody. The picture I used for example is a lot of PE AND I really don't believe every kit would have that amount available for it.
So relax, it was just a passing statement about such a Campaign.

So this may be for this Campaign or the other one. Which will it be?

It dont have to be that much AM PE as in that photo. Normally I build OOB unless I buyor trade for a kit that has some AM with it. I just happen to have a Dragon Hummel that came with AM PE so I was all for it

My le.FH18/40/2(sf) auf G.W.Pz.Kpfw.III/IV showed up a few days ago.
I need to check and see if any PE is available for this monster. The gun/breach section is something else to tell the truth! This reminds me a lot of the Grasshopper that Bandai and Dragon both have done.
Will be a serious build for sure.

Hey Guy's,
I have a confession to make in doing some "research" for this campaign, I have had to look thru books with lots of photos & not much story lines. Which in turn has lead to not only oggling what is in the box but & i am not proud to admit it I have even fondle the neatly bag plastic bits!! I fear I may have an disease called OMG I can't wait for it to happen!! As it maybe highly contagious I thought I had better warn people!!
Cheers Mike

Speaking of having a virus (to which is what I must have) to be signed up for 11 Campaigns , 2 are still in the "proposal stage", 4 are underway and 1 of those is completed on my part.
I told my wife I wanted to "get busy" this year and get back into building and sharing modeling efforts, not only to get back on track on my 1/16th projects as well.
Hope it doesn't sound like bragging (probably is anyway) because I don't know what other members build schedules are like, but I just want to reduce that pile of model boxes without having to sell any. THEN it'll open the door for more newer kits I want!
I feel I am surrounded by a good group of like-minded individuals here so I should stay motivated through it all!

Yeah Jeff, I think its more of an addiction then a virus I enlisted in 20 campaigns so far this year, finished 15, still working on 1, and while I was waiting for the others to start started building a Mini-Art house and a Tamiya Sd.Kfz 222
I'm all so trying to whittle down the stash so I can buy new kits right now it stands at 33 unstarted kits not including the figures and accessories

I'm doing the same thing Jeff, in order to buy some new stuff I have to reduce my stash, so Campaigning is the way to go !!
I'm on 11 Campaigns, 5 in progress (4 kits done and still working on the Dragon OOB, the other 6 are still recruting, so I tackled unfinished kits and a 2nd build).
This year and the next I hope to be some busy years at the bench !!!!

Hi there to all in this,
it´s definatly an addiction, I signed up to Amorama in March
and I now have 3 campaigns to deal with, in which I intend to
do at least two builds. The main reason for signing up was to catch up with some other "crazies" who do the same hobby (have the same addiction) and chat with them. For example, I would like to know what you tell your wifes when you buy another kit and have 42 still sitting on shelf waiting to be made.I must admitt, I´ve run fresh out of answers. And i´m thinking about what I could do to an HL 1-16 Panzer III, that I do not yet own.
Oh I´ve forgotten to mention that my dear beloved wishes to buy an allotment this summer. Great for remote 1-16 but what
about the building fun!

Hey Paul, look on the bright side.
Maybe she plans on moving you in there so you will have room for all your kits? Huh?
I don't tell my wife anything about nothing and always flood the conversations with things she wants to hear. That way my purchases don't come up.
My idea was to sign up for these Campaigns as a way of committing to building the kits, but then I found myself having to buy a few to "fit in" and then all the speculations grew. So I just signed up for more and the problem was solved.
