Rob------That's a good Chieftain article tucked in that link you posted. Thanks for sharing. I can use that if I decide to lock horns with another Tamiya Chiefie.

Thanks Rob, I already know the site.
I am looking for photos of the 1A2 variant that could show me differences between 1A2 and 1A1.

Good afternoon everyone. Too many great builds are progressing here.
Christopher, your M 60 looks really cool. Nice paintjob!
John, i really like the camo on this Type. You did a splendid job. After some weathering this will look great!
Marck, Your winter T 64 looks really nice. Nice weathering.
Kevin, that's a nice clean Leo you got there.
Dan, Trumpy's IS 3m kit is good but all the extra stuff and work you are putting in will certainly make it stand out waiting to see more. (I must admit i felt ashamed for my build looking at yours).
Thomas, really good work on the Cent! Waiting to see it finished.
Cagkan, Leos always draw my attention! I'm sure we'll see something really good even OOB.
Ronnie, your Ruski beast looks very good. I have the same problem with you regarding taking photos. I just cant get good ones no matter what.....
Well my build is over for this campaign. Easy and enjoyable kit. I got a little carried away during the weathering process i think. Pics suck bad as always.... Sorry for that.

Ronnie------The T-64 looks jammin' . Very nice!
John----IS-3 looks awesome. I think your weathering looks great. Mud, dust, scratches and dents.....the way a well used MBT should look.
Best wishes, Ian

Ronnie: as Ian says that is cool, a kick A$$ T64 there.
John: well then, the IS3 has certainly been punished by it´s crew. Still that´s what these things are made for
Cool build.
Was the decal in the Kit or did you hand paint that?
It looks painted, another celestial virgin for that

Ian thanks a lot for your kind words. The truth is although desert has the effect of ''sanblasting'' machines during sandstorms, i think i went too far with the whole weathering thing. The more i look at the tank the more i think i did.

Wow, sorry no updates yet, but I have been working on some things. Hopefully by next weekend I will have something to post. I have been working on painting tracks, the tow cables and other things.
@John: that IS3 is quite the beast. I have one of those in my stash, glad to see it can build up real nice!
@Dan: Like I said to John, I have Trumpy's IS 3m kit and happy to see it can look really good! Yours is doing really well. Looking forward to more.
@Thomas: Keep up the great work on the Centurion.
@Cagkan: Thanks for keeping us in the loop and looking forward to more. Your biulds are ones on Amrorama that I look forward to seeing finished!
@Ronnie: I am always surprised when I look at these tanks. The road wheels just seem so dainty for such a mean looking machine. Nice Job!

Thanks Jeff (panther f)...I'm happy with it so far. It's been a fairly easy and fun build. I highly recommend it.
Ronnie: I love your t-64. That thing looks great! At first glance it looks kinda simple and clean, but the more you look the more you see.
John: Thanks, but I'm gonna have a tough time topping your IS-3M! That thing looks great. It is pretty beat, but I like my armor to look a little overly-well-worn. Nice job.
Some really nice builds coming out of this campaign! I'm already hoping we'll have a second one, third one, etc. You could build and build with this theme.
I've been working on some detail stuff on my IS-3M, and working on getting all the little bits and pieces on the hull. Lots to do yet, but it's looking good. I got my Fruils the other day too (my first set). Are they not the coolest thing ever?!
I wasnt happy with the unique hatch hinge for the turret so I made one from brass rod and some styrene bits for the mounting blocks.
I also worked on some weld detailing and the front fender-mounted fuel tank:
Lastly I pulled out 4 of the Fruil links for the spare ones carried on the glacis. Again displeased with the kit parts and recognizing an easy opportunity to do some cool scratching, I mounted the links exactly the same way the real ones are carried. I glued tiny styrene blocks where real ones were welded to the glacis, made 8 little "plates", and used some Grandt line bolts through the plates and into the blocks to secure the tracks to the glacis.
Thats all for tonight...catch up to y'all later!

Hi guys
Some superb builds here
The Cent stalled due to not finding 4 RTR decals
while trolling in loft for some T-34 tracks I found this buried at the back of the stash,
with trembling hands and sweating brow, I lifted the lid to reveal these beauties
so pressing on ,we are here now
I gave it a coat of Revell Aquacolor 36165 Bronze green,I really like these paints, they airbrush lovely,if you've not tried them give them ago
I lightened the base colour with a little light grey for highlights, then a coat of Klear, decals and then sealed with Klear
Black enamel pin washes followed, now I've just started with the pigments,I'm going for either Mig's allied green fading,or Faded bronze green,or I might go nuts and use both
More soon fellas
Hope you like
Andy

John and Dan thanks a lot for the positive comments.
John still waiting for an update on that Type.
Dan you are doing a very nice job on your IS 3. Waiting to see it finished!
Andy your Cent looks great! Those decals look very nice. Especially the eyes. They look like the eyes painted on triremes to scare the enemies. Waiting to see it finished. (I always liked Cents very much).

this model world is a strange thing lots of people rave about Vallejoair I hate them, can't get on with, they normal Vallejo paints are ok.Revell aqua is really thick and requires a lot of thining with just plain water.
Humbrol did do a British Army deep bronze green can'nt remember the number.
@ Ian,missed the Yoda on Star wars day ,sorry

Andy and ~Dan thanks - imn just doing the other parts of the weathering now after some advice from friends. I will add some more wet mud effects into the tracks/ lower hull - maybe some snow there also?
just adding some lighter tones to vary the appearance of the white camo
