Darn! For a second there, I thought we were about to see some gawd-awful marriage between an armored hippo and a pop-gun!
I have that same flak-track kit.... looks super nice in the box and (I think) Dragon may have fixed a couple of the gigs from the first issue without the added armor. Which is a cool kit, but does have a couple problems.
I was vascillating towards doing this one - it's my favorite half-track - but, nah, I think I'm more likely in this thing with Dragon's flakpanzer 38(t).... same itty bitty gun, but won't have to do any big front wheels (and get all tempted to make them turned)! Or maybe the recent Dragon 10/4 with Flak 30... first version of this track.
Have loads of fun. Looking forward to seeing this one come down the road!

HAha! Did not think of going Frankenstein with the 2 kits!
Awesome idea Bob
But Jeff`s rule of engagement are strict in this campaing, so I`ll stick with the half track
Gary, we will soon join the AA together
That is a poor attempt at a joke
See you all soon!

I see all the gang is here !
I'm still not sure what to pick between a 8t halftrack or a tiny Flakpanzer I.. I have a lot of stuff on the bench.
Gotta go build something..

I was originally planning to start my M42 Duster as soon as the campaign started, but with more then a month to go after I finished my M4 Composite Hull build for the Sherman Only campaign, I thought I start Bronco's M24 Chaffee, then put it down and do my AA campaign build, then go back to it.
Well, I've become addicted to the M24 build, as the Bronco kit is simply amazing in its details and its complexities, and there seems to be some solid interest in my build thread. So I'm going to stick with the build till it's done, then jump in here with my Early version Duster. Shouldn't be more then two months at the max, which still leaves me almost 7 months.

Gary, what seems like a million years ago when the old Renewall kit came out, I wasn't even a teenager then, I wanted to build that kit as I thought it was the best looking piece of armor I've ever seen. Now that goes back to the mid 60's. Back then I just couldn't ever seem to save enough money to get one, and continued buying Revell & Monogram kits for less the $2. So I've waited more the 50 years to build one.
I've bought the Squadron Walk Around book, and have downloaded every picture I can find for the build. Now I'm not looking to do a super detailed contest level model, but rather the closest I can come to a perfect display version.

Well, as I mentioned I am so far behind on my other Campaigns but... they aren't all about me or what I build, it's seeing my thoughts and ideas come to life through YOU guys right here. That's where I get my enjoyment is watching (and helping if I can) you guys create and have fun.
Now that that's out of the way, I'm still thinking on the Sgt. York, maybe?

Thanks Joel.
I just saw that DML has a Flakpanzer with zimm and that is really tempting. I'd like to stick the Ostwind turret on THAT chassis!

Lets hope we get a great turn out and nearly everyone builds and completes their models. We've certainly got enough time to pull it off.
