This is Sheer MADNESS!!

I thought 1/72 was difficult! You guys are making these tiny monsters incredible!! Sorry to say that my effort would only get about half way completed, as I would drop most of those little pieces onto the floor, to where I like to call the Burbour Carpet Graveyard.

Kudos to all!

You guys seem to be working on tiny tanks and getting results that would be impressive in 1/35! Running out of things to say almost! So just

Jonathan thanks a lot and i think i'l try to finish the diorama before the deadline but if not i'l enter one or two of them, most likely the Stuka atm.

I have to ask though how do you mask canopies in 1/350 scale? Is it masking tape and a lot of patience and experience?

Well, cutting masks that small, any shape but rectangular is next to impossible.
On the vigilante's I did cut masking tape rectangles, .040" x .080" for the windows in the rear seat- the whole cockpit canopy is one solid piece of clear plastic.

But for the Skywarriors, I cut thin strips of decal paper painted grey, and laid those over the glass, nudging them into place with a 000 paint brush, then fixed down with MicroSol.

Hello,

Here's my finished build for the campaign:

Its the 1:76 Matchbox T-34 kit that comes with the base.

The molded fence was carved out and replaced with pieces of cut from a box of matches. For snow effects, I used talcum powder and hairspray. I wanted to depict a winter thaw cum muddy scene, but I guess this is a muddy as I can for now. Skills-wise groundwork is very much a work-in-progress for me.

I have posted my contribution pics at the gallery. One more shot, to establish the relative size:

Jonathan, thanks for having me on this campaign. Kudos to all participants!

Cheers,

Tat

Jesper: Nice work on the Hetzer.

John: the air wing looks good.

Tat: Great Job on the scene.

I've managed to get a base coat on my little AAVP. Hopefully this weekend I can do some detail painting and decals.

Sorry for the junk photography.

Happy Modeling, -zon

Zon, that's good to see, sir. I have found that a coat of primer is an important milestone that separates "might never get finished" from "probobly will get finished".

There are still nine days including two full weekends until close of the campaign. We have good prospects for 10 or more finishers, which would be a great result.

Speaking of which, LesPaulJames, and DOntos, if you would please, select some photos and upload to our Gallery, in order to be counted among the finishers.

Tat Baqui the snow looks great. that black and white "slide" is really impressive. thanks for your fine work.

Thanks for the comments Zon, Jonathan.

I didn't want to spend much more on "snow" material so I did some reading on what other folks use, and the talcum powder + hairspray came out to be the winner for me. My thanks to Robert Blokker's (Faust) build article for this.

Zon, looking forward to your completion. Go for it!

Jesper, I must have missed your Hetzer post -- nice little beast you have there!

Cheers,

Tat

Brent that's a very neat tiny model, nicely executed. thanks for joining, hope to see you around here again.

James and Dan, please try again to upload - the gallery upload system has worked for you in the past, maybe it was off the rails last saturday.

Thank you for the comment. I will certainly be around for future campaigns. I really enjoyed going small with 1/200 scale.

By the way; I must admit that the black was done with a discount store $1 spray paint.

Brent: very nice little stealthy there.

Andy: Nice work on all the colors!

I'm calling mine done. Trumpeter's 1/144 USMC Amphibious Armor AAVP7A1, colored per the box and decals provided.

Overall a nice little build and surprisingly fast to paint. Cute little bugger too. I will post in the gallery as well.

cool, two more finishers!

Hey Torchy, Id about forgotten you had that Texas ANG kit, nice decal work there, and some nice red and white paint as well.

Our gallery has a fairly drab pallet to now, that f-16 will stand out.

Zon, cute little bug is right! and I see you have a delicate hand with a tiny detail brush. That really makes a difference in tiny scales.

Excellent constructs, I'm amazed at the level of detail in these small models.
