I agree, and great backstory!
Alex, it's great to see Katy back on the workbench!

Workbench? Heck, she's done. I finished her a couple of nights ago and have been waiting on getting my camera back to take some gallery shots.
This is the reworked kit launch base. I added a "motor" to the front to mechanize the launcher's elevation. I put the handcrank on the front of the bed in case the motor failed. The motor came from the spares and I have no idea what it originally was. For the traverse, I added a handwheel from the spares.
The bed and bed with launcher mounted. I added the crank handle...as mentioned. I also added a stowage box from the spares to serve as a store place for the launcher's sight. The piece on the left is supposed to be a junction box that the remote control ties in. The box comes from the old Esci Goliath set. I also have the kit's launch control in the front of the cab. The traverse stops and handles on the base would be removed to allow the launcher to traverse further.
I added the launcher sight. Rails mounted to the launcher base.
I kicked around some sort of shielding for the front windshield and ended up just adding an extension to deflect the rockets' blast. I took a section of scrap styrene, flared the side edges, and gave it a slight bow.
Done.
And some better pictures.
And there she goes. She's on the shelf and I'll probably give her a small base with a crewman or two sometime in the future. It was a simple project and I think it looks better on the RSO than on the Panzer IV.
I think that's it for what-if for this edition. I've still got a few ideas for part 4.

Stephen,
She really came out nice. It looks great and looks like a plausible design for real life. The proportions are all good and the vehicle's profile looks sharp.

On to my build.
Boxart.
Sprues. The detail is actually quite nice and I may have to get another of these to build as the real version.
Assembly has gone quite quickly. Both sides of the tank took less than ten minutes to clean up and assemble.
Comments welcome.
I hadn't thought about using a WW1 Airfix Kit. There was a Mk1 type tank that the Queen of Night used as her mount in the movie version of Mozart's Magic Flute.

Hi Jeremy,
I will try to model a tank inspired by the movie "Inhabited Island". I have been motivated by this build:
Tank of the penalty box "Inhabited Island"
I will be using the Skif T-64 as the base
As it is a tank assigned to penalty battalions the tank will be simplified and have a boxy look.

OK, stick a fork in this one, 'cause it's done.
Can anyone point me towards the Gallery link? I'd like to post a few of these photos there.

Stephen: Get that MRAP on an urban street scene ASAP!
Raul: Sounds like a plan!
Paul: Stellar! The ice chest with the partially full bottle is a great touch

I felt it needed a touch of colour in front to break up the monotonous colour of the piece. Same reason I put the red gas can at the back.
Also, is there a link to a campaign gallery? I couldn't find it.

Greetings all,
finally some progress, the ITD (Interim Tank Destroyer). A Jagdpanther fitted with a OQF 20-pounder Tk Mk 1 gun and modified to suit the stowage policies of DRAC.
cheers
David

I am really loving what I see there, I've always had a soft spot for Jagdpanthers. Have you decided on a final color scheme yet?

I do like that ITD. What's the back story? Who is the operator?
Maybe add a radio bustle from a Firefly?
I've been seriously thinking of putting together a Panther in Israeli service c1960-1965: French 105mm gun, radio & ammo bustle on the turret, side skirts, AVDS engine deck with modified rear hull plate, ammo stowage in the ass't gunner's spot, etc. etc.
Maybe a little earlier with a surplus 20 pdr removed from the new Shot Kals and a Cummins diesel engine deck from an M51??
Lots of possibilities.

I'm really enjoying the builds so far. Great work guys.
Afraid to say I'm having to bow out. Only a few weeks to go and my build has progressed no further. Just had too much on these last few months.
All the best to everyone still going.

Greetings Jeremy and Paul;
many thanks for the comments.
Jeremy,
as for the colour, I’m thinking of either S.C.C. No.15 “Olive Drab” and S.C.C. No.14 Blue-Black or some type of proto-Natoflauge (green/brown/black). At this stage I am favouring the Olive Drab/Blue-Black.
Paul,
(I just notices that the name has changed from the A48 (FV355) to the ITD, must be something to do with old age )
I looked a putting a radio bustle bin on it, but decided that, firstly the bin would be a right pain the “A” when it came time for powerpack lift or the like, on the Firefly the turret can be traversed to allow better access to the engine, not so on this beast. Secondly there should be enough room within the fighting compartment, basically a No.19 set would just replace the radio set-up the Germans had fitted.
Your Panther ideas sound very interesting, I can just see an Israeli Panther driving past a destroyed Syrian Pz.Kpfw. IV.
Once again many thanks.
Cheers

The year is 1947, in the third multi-verse to the left, and German had not won the war! But just two years after the end of hostilities, the Soviet Union is starting to flex it's muscles in the recently liberated Europe. The other liberating nations decide they need to stand up to “Uncle Joe” and liberate Eastern Europe from it's new reign of terror. The idea is very laudable, but is their military equipment up to it?
In the United Kingdom production of the new Centurion was under way along with the new 20-pounder anti-tank gun. But there were unexpected problems with fitting the new gun to the new tank, so a interim solution was sort. The ROF Nottingham was tasked with solving the problem and set a new design team, basing it at Trent Bridge, in time for the first test match against South Africa. After looking at mounting the gun of an existing in service vehicle, it was felt that rather than take vehicles out of service and modify them, it would be better to refurbish and modify some of the large stockpile of captured equipment. So after many long hours of in depth study, in their offices at what is now the Trent Bridge Inn., the A48 (FV 355) was born. An ex-German AFV fitted with a 20-pdr gun and modified to suit the needs (or should be idiosyncrasies ) of the British Army and designed by a team who had slightly more than a passing interest in the game of cricket and brown ale
Note:
For those reading this who do not understand the game of cricket, I am sorry. But to explain the game would take longer than the time allotted to this campaign

Hi Jeremy,
I lower my head in shame as I almost forgot about this one.
But only almost .
I'm going to concentrate everything I have on my build, but it
has changed from a double barreled shotgun to a single barreled
one. I just couldn't make it look right with the twin 128's so it now has only one, and that has been sawed off.
So it's now called this:
StuG III Ausf H mit 128mm Sturmkanone L36.6 Stummel or "Fretchen" = "Ferret", as you can see there are plenty of close quarter fighting capabilities on her, this is so it can go into the smaller streets and kill anything around.
Here's some pics, I'll do the running gear tonight and fill the gap between the casematt and engine compartment tomorrow:-
All the builds I have seen up to now are great, I hope a couple more turn up in the short time frame that is left.
@ Alex: you must be the master of all "What if" ideas and they look cool
@ Stephen: cool looking MRAP , I hope there are some rope ladders behind the doors, so that any Special forces who need picking up from hot zones can enter the vehicle fast
@ Paul: the StuG Sherman is just brilliant
@ David: fantastic Jagdpanther I really like the british style side skirts
That's all, back to the Ferret.
Paul

David: A very fitting color, at least from what I see in my mind
Paul: I'm sure you'll set a new record for finishing!
If for any reason anyone here doesn't feel like they will meet the deadline, please feel free to send me a pm.

Well, I've got my entry done, but my febrile mind has come up with another what-if idea. There's no way to do it by the deadline, but I could probably get it done by the New Year.
Question is, will we do this a fourth time? If so, I'll hold onto the idea and build it then.
Who's up for a Rise of the Machines 4???
