Awesome guys! Great updates!

Alan, what is that equipment used for?

I'll crack open my JEEP box tomorrow after I vote.

Hi all,

Well I've done it now I signed up. Took me a little while as I could not make up my mind!

But I have decided to Itallieri's 1/24th Fire Jeep! Should make a nice and little different subject.

Nice start and selections too guys!

I made my start this morning as the "honey-do list" caught up with me yesterday. LOL

Assembly starts with the engine so a few steps 'till the fun parts begin. This is how far I am before I had to get going.

I concur that!

I try to keep things tidy between builds and during builds but soon new parts are always rolling in.

Hey Pat, not that it matters... but what is being used from what kit?

I have no idea what is good on any of these kits?

Some nice stuff here already!

I started on my Academy M151A1. I'm thinking of mounting a .50 on the stand and the M60 in front of the passenger seat. And lots of gear from the spares box. Anyway, here it is after one night at the bench:

It's a very crisp little kit. Going together very well and so far no fit issues

I'll bring my spares box Saturday week Pat: see if there's anything that will help although you've a lot there to get one Jeep out of it.

To be honest I didn't even know I had the Italeri jeep til I found it in the stash but it looks like an okay kit so I think I'll use it as the base kit as it already has the cutaway grill, I'll use the gun mounts and condenser from the tamiya sas jeep and the Vickers K guns from the Bronco accessories set. If I have time Ill build the tamiya jeep too

The detail on some of the webbing items such as pouches and packs is weak but the weapons are first rate

Cool guys! We're moving right along and remember... this is only a 6 month Campaign and I know most of you will be finished in 30 days!

Made a push forward this morning:

Found a fan blade was broken off, but remained in the bag so I didn't lose the piece, which was easily cemented back on.

Starting to look like a JEEP engine, huh.

I moved past a few steps to get the power package firmly in the frame as it will be completely dry when I return.

That's it for now. Yesterday I blew my budget on an impulse purchase. A glow in the dark USS Enterprise Starship to sit next to the Klingon Battle Cruiser.

Yes, I am bit of a Sci-Fi geek. Can't wait to see it built but man, it came with a decal sheet larger than I've ever seen before... it was as large as the box!

Hello everyone,
cute things happening here, I have started my build this eveneing. This kit looks nice enough but if you get one
then be prepared for a lot of flash clean up. Some parts donīt seem to be effected until you take them from the sprue
But what the hell, who needs a perfect fitting, flash free,
no contest, shake the box kit anyway .
Iīm going to up gun this jeep to an LRDG jeep. I have no
proof that a Bantam was in this "band of desert pirates", but it is feasible .
So here we go:

Start picture Miniart Bantam Academy accesories + others

Resicast lewis MG and Academy 50.cal, thereīs some Vickers
Kīs in the post, thanks to Pat.

oh, some flash:

after a 20 minute clean up:

later:

Test fit of the Body:

thatīs all for today, hopefully Iīll get at the mashine guns tomorrow and of coarse the ca. 15 jerry cans.
Keep it up fellas!

Good start there Paul! And you are not kidding about the flash!

Even the sprue has it!

@ Sal: looks like you had a fun time throwing a tube of glue into the box, shaking and then a pearl came out Seriously nice bulld.

@ Paul: WOW! That was a lot of flash to clean off, but it looks worth it though.

@ Jeff: I would love to get my hands on that engine, it looks lika real motor (look at my photo following to see the hunk of junk engine I have).
