getting very close to wrapping this up. I had a little time over the weekend to do some detail painting and start on the weathering. All that is left now is an overspray of base color/dust to tone down the markings, some placards (Archer transfers), the glass, and maybe a last bit of weathering on the tires.
I might actually make the deadline!
Enjoy! comments welcome too.

@andy @delbert: Those are some nice looking Jeeps!! Love the paint jobs!
Not much progress on my airborne Jeep during the weekend. Got the wheels put together and added some PE detailing to the ammo boxes. Sorry no picture, couldn't find my camera last night....

Andy, I thought you WERE done! That's looking better than any done piece I've ever built. I REALLY like the chipping and finishing. Very realistic! Well done.

thanks Sean! no, still need to add glass, headlights, and the wiper handles (instead of the motors). Also will add archer placards too, and an overall dusting using diluted paint and Floquil "dust". The markings are still a bit stark and need toned down a bit.

I've been fairly quiet here, but I've been working in the background. Paint on, and details coming along...
added tailgate stays from braided wire strands. Future finish is yet to come (just before final gallery photos ).
About that color... it doesn't look that bright and purple to my eye, but whatever combination of lighting and camera is making it so. I'm nervous to take it out into daylight to see what I have now.
Since these photos, the application of Bare Metal Foil isn't going so well. I will really need to jump tonight to make the deadline. Wish me well!
Cheers!

Sorry everyone, I'm not going to be able to finish, not by a long shot. That'll teach me for not starting earlier.
I've had fun following the campaign though, and I'll post some pictures here as I progress.

I don't know what part of Indiana you live in, Jeff, so I don't know the time zone, but I got my pics into the gallery before midnight Eastern Time.
I see mine is easily the bluest and chromiest. ...for whatever that's worth.
It's been a fun campaign. Thanks for having it. Now I'm off to find my German auto...
Cheers!

Don't worry Sean, I'm not the Gestapo so as long as there's an image in there you're good to go.
I'll wait a few more days and see if any stragglers trickle in before I hand out ribbons.
I DO appreciate everyone sticking it out and making what has to be the best JEEP Campaign ever!
Thanks guys!

Sounds good, Jeff. That way we'll get another Jeep or two in the campaign gallery. It's been a well-run campaign and the resulting collection of builds is fantastic!
