Jeff, I'm not sure what you're saying about the Commando Cars. They are Willys Jeeps with add-ons. The kit is literally the old Italeri Willys Jeep with an added sprue for the MGs, fuel tanks, and extra equipment.
I don't know how using a Jeep in a Jeep campaign is going against the spirit of the campaign. I'm not trying to be snarky or a smart-alleck. Even though you said you're allowing them, I think we need to make sure we're all on the same page here.
Peter, Welcome aboard.
A campaign works like this. Take a starter picture of your unassembled kit. Some campaigns dictate proof of it not being started before the campaign starts, like a newspaper shown in the photo or a timestamp. That proof seems to be waning of late...we're all on the honor system here anyway.
As you build, photograph your progress. I use a photo hosting service, Photobucket, for my progress pictures. I tend to take pictures as I go and post them on the weekend, but you can post them however you wish. Offer commentary on the build, possible problems, etc. It's good to get feedback as well.
When you're done, you'll have to upload finished pictures in to the Campaign Gallery. There is usually a direct link to it within the Campaign thread, or you can go through the GALLERY (Gallery -->Campaigns--> Currently Active Campaigns) to find the one you want. Upload a few pictures to show your finished model.
I hope some of that makes sense and good luck. Campaign rules do vary so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Peter, This one ends May 1st of this year.
I forgot to add that you'll need to got to the Campaigns section (located as CAMPAIGNS at the top of the page). There, are listed all of the campaigns, start/end dates, and links to their rules. It'll also keep track of which ones you're participating in. You'll have to sign-in and Enlist to join the campaign.

Well it's so good to see others step up to the plate to keep things in line while I have a brain fart.
I was thinking these were the WC-57 Dodge Command Car... not quite the same but different.
Please continue.

No problem Jeff...we all have our brain-poo moments. I figured it had to be a mix-up of some sort. It kind of surprised me because I thought you were going to be building one of the SAS Jeeps as well.

I started the "Battle of the Bulge" armored JEEP, the one DML re-released the old Hasegawa 1/24th kit.
Now to find it!

Jeff, I thought you had mentioned thinking about doing the Commando Jeep back before the campaign started. I just figured if there was any concerns over it that they would have been voiced back then. That's why I was so surprised about your comments and figured it was a mix-up somewhere. Anyway, it doesn't matter.
As an aside, I put a coat of OD on my Jeep this morning. So it's all coming together. The Tamiya rebox comes with a lot of added equipment and stowage.

Well guys took the pics of my intended builds for the jeep campaign.
And as it is Sunday I have kept myself busy.....especially as I have only a couple of months before it ends.
The chasis and shell together.
Shell and chasis together.
spares box raided for etch.
Wheels on and all together ready for a coat of paint.
Not bad for a Sunday afternoon. Done a few changes to it, this is the commando model, not started the Tamiya sas one yet, but tomorrow could be a busy day

Here is one I did earlier.
As you see I like the Willys Jeep, especially in SAS form. This one is my pride and joy. A Dragon 1/6 with a few extras.

I don't know why they don't have a link to the campaign gallery on the campaign main page.

A link on the campaign main page for the campaign gallery would simplify things. I wasn't sure were the the campaign gallery was till Bluestab mentioned posting photos in his post.
I'm new to all this about down loading, uploading and posting. I'm still not sure how I got my photo from my photos to the campaign gallery but it's there and thats all that counts.
There are some nice builds in the gallery and from what I've seen on the campaign page more to come.

Hi guys I'm new Armorama member. I would like to join this Jeep capaign.
I have a question about that. I've goot Italeri Willys 1/35 for New year, and i allready made it - i started assembly at January 3rd this year, and finished it one month later. I have pictures of whole build process - may i join the campaign? Campaign started two months earlier.
I made a civil version - red Jeep, because i saw car similar to this one, and i liked it a lot, so i said - i'm going to make modell of it.
Here are a few pictures of the building process and finished modell, i can attach more, if that is OK?

Hi Marko, and welcome to ARMORAMA.
I'm sorry, but that is not the way it works. You must show the kit unbuilt at the beginning of the Campaign, then afterwards show progress pics until it's finished. Then upload a final picture in the Gallery.
But there is still time to start another kit!

Weekly update.
The Jeep is coming along. I did some pre-painting just to make it a little easier later on.
A couple of shots with the fuel tanks, and MG mounts and armor added. I decided I wanted a little change with mine so I left off the side mirror. The truth be told, I messed up and put the driver's MG mount in the wrong hole. I didn't want to risk breaking it while removing it.
A coat of Olive Drab.
And armed. I left the wheels off until I can dirty up the fenders.
Next up will be to add stowage and maybe a crewman or two.

Just wrapped up Dragons Armored jeep I reviewed here a few months ago...
Lots of great models here on the campaign! I hope to have something done by the end.
for now, here is a little bit of inspiration! I currently have about 15 jeeps, with 5 more in various stages on the workbench... more in the stash! So many variants..so little time!
cheers!
Andy

Beautiful JEEPS Andy. Something I have just acquired the love for.
On the second picture, center JEEP... can you please give some information on it or maybe more pictures too? Being a newbie JEEPer I have never seen it before and was curious.

Jeff,
I think that's one of Patton's Jeeps, probably the one from Bastogne. Most of the pictures I've seen of it are pretty low resolution.
