Hi again
Here's my build progress. First the photo reference i was aiming at:
them assembly
test fitting (some parts glued, some only blu-tacked, figures only placed
well this kit has so many additional items, i think i will not use, because the model gets too overwhelmed with stuff and becomes unrealistic (at least for me)
some bugs of my build:
- maybe the twin vickers gun is too close to the figure heads (the stand was scrachbuilt and the instructions did not show the exact location), i imagine if this place was in reality where it is on this model occasionaly the gents would get a bump from the grip
- browning gun barrel used from kit not AM so not as nice as it could be.
- The condenser is not damaged (resin replacement would be nicer) and
- not sure it this is the best way to scrachbuild bags of stripes from champagne foil as suggested by others on this forum
finally due to stinky build process was forced into exile to another room with much smaller table by my wife. damn

I went ahead and joined. The civilian Jeep is a no-go so I'll be doing the Tamiya reboxing of the Italeri SAS Commando Jeep.

The Revell Mash Jeep is a very old basic kit, I wish I still had the Italeri kit that I sold. I've gotten this far and will be detailing the jeep for a French Hotchkiss version.

"Operational Overview
Any kit that looks like a JEEP, smells like a JEEP, and goes together like a JEEP says it all! No staff cars, Kübelwagens or Mercedes-Benz G4 cars allowed.
Must be Ford Mutts, Willys and JEEPS only. Willys Wagon and Willys Pickups, CJ, DJ, Wranglers and Cherokees allowed. So building a civilian JEEP is okay... if you are brave enough! LOL"

Ok, so here is my entry.
This is a bit of a Frankenstein kit - using the Tamiya M151A2 and parts from an Academy M151A1 to make an IDF version.
I scratchbuit the jerry can holders but still need to do a bit more work before hitting it with some colour.

Well, not really. Everyone else started this way and it would not be fair to allow some to not.
There's plenty of time to start a new kit, just be sure to post the unstarted kit and progress pics.

Really sorry and having read the rules I've realised my error! I will get another kit (good excuse) and restart. Sorry for the inconvenience.
