Nice work! I like the way the seats came out.

@ Don: thanks mate, all I did was scratch the backs until the base coat came through and dry brushed the seats with Tamiya XF62.
@ Alexandre: Cool portable bench dude, my wife is still
saying "no way".
O.k. here´s the progress and the last 5 pics are of the finished job. That´s what happens when I sit down and just build, instead of playing around online. Here it is then:
Adding stowage:
Stowage in place:
After a light covering with thinned Tamiya buff through my air brush, Mission Accomplished. I call it "where the hell are we".
@ S Sgt O´Marines: is this manly and war like enough
I couldn´t fit any more guns, ammo and land mines in there
@ Jeff: Thanks dude, this was a real nice "small" campaign . It was real fun doing this little vehicle, can´t wait for the "part 2".
Hope you all like the finished Jeep, any criticism is welcome as this can only improve my modelling.

Paul.
Looks great, I hope I can get mine to look as good with the paint. I may have a go with that technique.
The one thing that did jump out at me was the S hook on the headlight guard. These jeeps ran through pretty rough ground. It just looks ready to fall off. but thats just me..
btw what did you use for your strapping?,
Delbert

Thanks Steph and Delbert,
this is what I use for straps:
It´s the foil from a wine bottle, the type with a cork I find the Greek (no offence Steph) Imyglikos best, as this
is very thin (The foil that is) The wine´s ok too
Delbert be sure to use an enamel base color if your going
to do the hairspray method. The first time I tried it was a desaster and whatever you do DO NOT HOLD THE MODEL under the runnung tap . Just apply warm water to the area you want to work on and take it easy. I start to remove the paint about 20 mins after spraying. And let the hairspray dry good, I leave it a whole 24 hrs before over going with acrilics. For the seats, try and keep the hairspray off the cusions and just dry brush them once your main color is on. With mine the drivers side is better because there was no hairspray there.
Hope it turns out good for ya.

Finally complete. Went easy on the weathering this time...
For it's size it's still a lovely little kit and the only warning to anyone doing one is be very careful when attaching the wheels.
Thanks for watching, commenting & encouraging folks.

Wow, I guess I should have only made this Campaign a month long.
But then hey... mine wouldn't get finished in time!
Nice work Sean.

Sean, the M151A1 looks much better. Good job on it. One last thing you may want to fix is the rear wheel openings. The A1 had a striaght line from the top to the bottom of the rear section, no square part (that was for the A2 which had a tie-down ring there). It is simple to cut the square off, sand it smooth, and touch up with a bit of paint.
You can see what I mean in the two below pics.
Yours:
Actual:
There is still some amber poking through on teh blackout drive markers on teh grill too.
A bit of weathering and a few touchups and she will look awesome. Great job on it so far and keep up the good work.

The surgery bit was the only part I didn't do of your earlier recomendations Gino....maybe at a later stage, but those wheels are quite tight in the opening and the axels very fragile. I'm afraid of making a complete mess...
As for the bits of red still showing, well, ttats why I mostly do sand coloured vehicles. Red/Green colourblind....I can't see the red bits

There's still time!
And come on... the kid needs his own camera, Dad.
I'm just sayin'.
Need to get inspired today on my JEEP and maybe start with the PE some to get back in the mood.

Okay... the Holiday break is over. Time we all got back in our JEEP build TODAY!!
As soon as my errands are ran today I will dust off the box and have at it again as the rolling chassis is finished,
now to the body!

Ok! Jeff, my rest at the nut house is over so I pulled the mess down from its hiding place and may even have a little time to do something with it.

Between work and the holidays, I've really slowed down quite a bit on my kit. I was able to get a little paint on it. Anyone else made any progress lately?
