Looking good Alex. The smoke dischargers came out nice, I think (photo a bit blurred).
Are you combining bits from 2 different kits with the different colored plastic?

Thanks. The smoke dischargers gave me a lot of problems. I had a lot of trial and error on getting them right. The pictures are blurry. They didn't look as bad on the camera's screen.

It's all from the same Trumpeter kit. This is actually my first Stryker kit I've ever built. I pre-painted some of the pieces and sub-assemblies. Mostly it's to help with the little nooks and crannies that I'm bad about missing when painting.

After taking July off it's time to get back modelling. I have most of the building done on my Rolls, interior is finished and I'm ready to put the base coat of paint on the exterior. I have left the stowage off to paint separately.

Great Rolls Royce Cam, any pitfalls to watch out for in the building?

Thanks for the comments. The kit is the Roden 1920 pattern Rolls Royce with sand tires. The kit goes together well but the plastic is softer that most kits and the detail is softer then that on newer kits. The interior has seats and a steering wheel but the dashboard is just a flat piece of plastic. The hardest part of the build is trying to find references on it. The best photos from WWII are of Irish cars that were kept in immaculate shape. Just trying to use solvaset to get the decals to conform to all those rivets. Hopefully will have more photos tomorrow.

Here is the beginning of my Lebanese AML-90, Everything was painted with Vallejo paints. I airbrushed the model overall base green and hand painted the camo using a fine paint brush and very diluted paint. I still need to go back and paint the finer details and stowage on the hull. I’ve used some filters by Mig to give it that faded dusty look.

Love the AML-90 Christopher
Rolls has had a base coat followed bu some hairspray and a lighter yellow applied over the base. I then added some oil filters, decals and some pin washes. Still working on the stowage but the main parts are ready for a layer of dullcoat.

Some updates on my build:

Assembly is nearly complete. After fixing some obvious sink holes, I'll be prepping then painting this assembly during the weekend:

Nice painting Jose. Some of the stowage and straps seem a little large out of scale but I think it works anyways. It looks good keep it going

The Rolls is finished (unless someone notices an improvement that can be incorporated) and just needs a base. An AMPS contest is on the 24th so just under the wire.
