Hi folks,
some advances on my project with the build up of the suspension, not an easy task as many fiddling pieces (remember I am used to figures not AFV's....)
The red prime is working not too bad I think!!

Hi all
Lonewolf your Sheridan looks great!
Paul really awesome finish on the Scimitar.
Mario I can't wait to see how the hull comes out.
I finished the figures for the M8 and managed to squeeze them into the hull and turret.
My inspiration for the build came from a 1945 photo of a Brazilian M8 on a street in Montese, in front of what must have been one of the best ventilated buildings in northern Italy at the time.
Beside the model in the final photo is a Brazilian Expeditionary Force shoulder patch, with its famous smoking snake.
The surface on which the model rests was an attempt to emulate the rubble filled street in the Montese photo. I used broken bits of plaster from wallboard, white glue, and gray and brown chalk dust.
Cheers
Dick

Richard well done on the M8 - you don't often see Brazilian vehicles modelled. It looks great and the base does capture the look of the photo.

hello, when simple green and dark decor of the 7th Armoured Division. I think I'll integrate a sherman 33rd Armoured Brigade in a small stage.

Despite the heatwave here in Dublin I have done some more work on the Humber and it's base. The wheels are not fixed in place- they are resicast resin wheels and I don't know if I'll use them- the thread looks too thin and the come without hubs which means I have to cut the hubs of the kit wheels
I have a pigsticker bayonet to fit to the infantryman's rifle so don't worry about that broken barrel tip. The prisoner is going to have to get a new resin head.
I plan on adding a lot more foliage and a gate between the pillars

There you have my creature after painting. Now I must put those tiny pieces on it...
BTW, what a bunch o master we have here! I'm very impressed with your works, mates! There's a certain Irishman here out there with a interesting composition, just the style I like most.Just as Richard's finish is unusual. As for photoetch, steph, it's only matter of a 2 thousand or more models...You can measure twice, trice, made some dry runs, and ever something goes wrong.
Mario: I'm about to star King Tiger's running gear, so I can understand you.
And Paul, what a meticulous job you've done!
Javier

Pat, Paul, and Javier: Many thanks for the kind words.
Pat - I'm impressed with your jungle growth. A long time ago, when I was young and foolish, I worked for a few years in a West African rain forest, and your tangle of vegetation captures the closed-in feeling I often had, with visibility under 15 or 20 yards in any direction. Can't wait to see it finished.

Dick the background of the photo is my actual garden I gave up trying to tame it a long time ago- I'd rather spend my time modelling

Javier, thanks dude. Can't wait to see you huge kit finished. Shes looking good up to here
Pat, looking good mate. Have you taken the dio idea from a photo? It seems familiar and there is nothing wrong with your garden you should've seen my allotment last year
MSCorley, nice paint job there, I would add something steely oily coloured to inside of that huge gun but that's only my 2 cents
