Hello Paul,
interesting way of doing the hessian netting/camm, always interesting to learn techniques.
To stain the strips of cloth, did you have to dilute the paint a great deal, how managed to hold them.......

Javier, Karl, Mario, Steph, Sean and Pat thanks lads, your praise is well appreciated .

Mario, I just cut the strips up and held them with a pointed
pair of tweezers, the strip I then laid onto the surface of the straight paint in the jar, don´t let go of it or it´ll sink to the bottom of the jar!!. It soaks the paint up immediately
and then I simply pulled the strip up the side of the jar to remove any excess paint and that was that.
Lay the strips to dry on the instruction sheet or a piece of
non-covered card or even those perfume testing strips your wife gets in the perfume stores, if they dry on anything plastic or glossy coated card the strips will look like insulation tape and that´s not wished for.

Pat, you are already signed up for one of my campaigns, which
reminds me to get over there myself and start building

Happy weekend all and keep up the work, I shall be watching

I started this one a while back. I just haven't posted any work.

Starter Pictures. It's Trumpeter's 1/35 M1127 RV Stryker.

I started off with the lower hull.

I then did some pre-painting. I wanted to put a coat of black on the suspension parts. I also wanted to get a base coat of green on the lower hull before I started adding the drive and suspension pieces.

Suspension and drive components added.

Hull rear. I went with the styrene jerry can racks instead of the PE ones. Nice of Trumpy to give that option.

And now the upper hull.

Anyway, that's it for now. All in all, the kit isn't bad. This is my first Stryker kit.

Hello chaps (and ladies if any...)

It might looks strange but before start to build the SDkfz 234 I have some timed to build the base, something that some time we tend to forget.

A simple road side with a grass bank and the tracks of the vehicle as it has come to a halt!!!. hope you like it..

cheers

At last I'm ready to paint! Primer is from AK. MGs are wire and its insulation, Photoetched pieces, though tiny and delicate, are a joy to work with, easiest than I feared . The placard with the manufacturer's name is quite legible!

Mario, I like you base. Looks nice!

Alex, your Stryker looks complex Impressive work

Hi Vance,
Interesting project and interesting box art. I hope those cars can outrun the grass fire which is about to happen when the ammo aboard that burning tank cooks off. They're headed downwind too.

Cheers,C[ ]
