Looks like things are moving along nicely for everyone. Well done.
I think my 250 is done.
And its onto the figure.
Have a good night.
Thanks.

Nice work Kevin and also the figure's head looks great. What technique did you use for that?
Well I haven't hit it yet.
I want to leave at least one hatch open with a figure in it and since there is no interior detail provided I decided to McIver some up from the spares box. Not much will be seen but the shapes are at least right

Pat: Hang in there. I'm sure you'll hit that wall soon where everything falls into place. Have been quite tempted to pick one of these up myself.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I may add some more dirt or streaking before it's all said and done, but I think it's pretty much done.
Pat,
The figure starts out with a primer coat of flat black and then I used Vallejo paints to paint in the face. After the primer comes a coat of sunny skin tone and rosy skin mixed 75/25 for the base coat. Then a watery dark brown to get in the small areas that were covered by the base coat. That gives depth between the black primer, base coat and then dark brown. Then I start with the eyes followed up with different shades of base coat to paint over the eye excess and add some definition to the face. After that comes darker skin tone to add some additional shading (five o'clock shadow) and some higlighted skin tone on the brow, bridge of the nose, lips, chin and ears. Then the hair is painted with dark brown and highligted with two lighter shades of brown. The hat is painted with tanker uniform black and the seams are then painted with regular flat black.
The body will follow a similar painting regime and in a period of three to four nights after work, one little dude is painted.
Hope that helps.
Later and good luck with the armored car.

Kevin your 250 looks great! Really nice work on the camo and the interior details.
Pat the interior looks just fine. It is a very nice addition to the kit. From what i can see you must be having a handfull cleaning up SKP's molds.
John nice to see you started yours too. What do you think of the Italeri kit?
Sal nice clean build. Waiting to see this one painted. It's a really interesting model.
Karl your Chevy looks great. Good work!
Richard the M8 looks very good. Although i'm a little late, (i didn't have internet access for a few days), i would agree on the white interior. I've seen a lot of M8s (decomissioned of course) but they all had white turret interiors.
Paul good work, with so many vertical shapes and angles on this one, some extra weathering work will make it look really cool! Waiting to see more.

john, the interior is nice, it will be hardly visible anyway.. so far the fitting is quite good.
I got it for 27.5 € .. not a bad kit for that price range..

Hello folks,
I normally prefer to paint ad build figures, bust or flats but could not forget that AFV models where my first love and dioramas my great interest.
Recently secure two models to do a little "recce" dio and found this campaign, so wonder if I could joint.
The two model in question are
1.- DRAGON 1/35 Sd.Kfz.234/1 Schwerer Panzerspahwagen #6298
pretty cool and high tech model.
2.- ICM 1/35 Henschel 33 D1 Kfz.72 WWII German Radio Truck
with suitable figures (mainly dragon) to go with
Hope this is OK and will post pictures as soon as got tghe things shorted and the green light...
Cheers
Mario

Hey guys, thanks for the complements. It was a good project on a vehicle I've never built before and I have to say I really like the 250 series.
Mario, I really like the 234/1. Good luck with that.
Take care guys.

Sorry Mario, yes Rob is right, you're good to go and a dio would be great but as this is a recce campaign as long as you get the Sd.Kfz.234/1 built you'll qualify for a ribbon
