Thanks Martin!
I use a light tent, a thick sheet of A3 paper and proper white balance in Photoshop.

Vegard, Burak;
NICE II going there, friends!
@Vegard: Looks simple and real - the dirt effect is pretty convincing, albeit I am wholly ignorant as to what the dominant dust and dirt shades are up in Norway!
I would say that the starter crank (the squared-s handle on the right fender) would better be a steel item with perhaps a wooden or Tuffnel hand-grip? Looks like you have it all "wood" in this build!
@Burak; Looks crisp and clean - now what will we get for paint???
Bob

HobbyBoss Pz II ausf J WIP - rushing for the end!
After some distractions, I got around to some camo and some initial dusting, and got the tracks done, primed, painted, and weathered.
Weathered tracks on the hull:
The idea here was to create a dusty-but-dry panzer with dirty but not muddy tracks...
Next up, I did up some turret numbers and balkankreuz using the trusty stencils. At this point, my AB got dropped and the nozzle apparently got dinged... Some fussing around later, I managed to get the numbers and crosses on, and did some additional dusting of the dry-assembled panzer...
Here's where I stand at present: camo'd, painted "dusted", marked - still needs tool and gun detailing, hanging of the spare tracks and maybe a few bits of crew kit and stuff, and finishing of the head-lamps, followed by final assembly... Tomorrow's work, I think!
I think I'll get this baby done by New Year's Eve!

Hello,
I just finished my Sturmtiger : it was a nice kit (next time, I'll try photoetched parts).
It was my first attempt to reproduce a camo pattern on a kit ...
Some pictures are posted on my blog.
Thanks a lot for the campaign

Here are my finished photos for the Panzer Returns Campaign.
This is a Pz IV Ausf A by Dragon. The figures are also from Dragon.
There are a lot of great models in this campaign and I'm proud to be a small part of it.
These photos are also in the campaign gallery.
Regards,
Tom

At last! Not my best,(or my worst, either) It would be better with some weathering, but done!
Crosses are handpainterd (I don't dare to try decals with my "own" zimmerit in place.
No numbers as I departed too much from the painting guide when my airbrush caught life, and also, they would be nearly hidden by the turret tracks.
Pics added to the gallery, indeed!
Happy New Year to all, and have as much fun as good modelling!

I think I´ve done the closest possible finish (form me) ... but I´m calling it done... so far. The decals are indeed missing, as the supplied ones didn´t match the ones on the reference pic, but I´ll have to wait til next year for new ones...
pics are also not the quality I´d like to submit them, but have currently no other choice as I´m also amost on my way to the hoidays
Happy new year

Some very nice work being shown. This one's wrapping up nicely.
Tom,
I like the Panzer 4 and the crew figures. What's the thing on the driver's side, below the turret hatch? Not the fold down steps. It looks like some sort of hoist arm.
Hopefully everyone has a nice New Years.

Nice looking IV, Tom!
@Alex; That long triangular item on the hull-side by the folding ladder is the AA MG mount - seen also on the early Pz II and in service into 1940. Some happy crew-member got the honor of swinging that thing out and hanging his MG-34 from it to duke out with passing fly-boys.
I wonder if any of these were ever used "in action"??? It seems to me that there would be little chance to bring it into play, as the crew would have to detect the approaching plane, the MG would have to be pulled from inside the tank and and passed down and get hung and loaded... all before the plane actually got close enough to do something? Right!
From time to time one gets to see a "Chinese fire-drill" when a bunch of clowns in a car decides to swap drivers and seats at the red-light...
@Burak; Nice II! I think it mostly "just right", but the balkankreuz behind that radio-antenna trough... usually, at least as seen in many period pictures, this cross was partially replicated to the outside of that trough?
Bob

My humble effort. Maybe i'll try stuff out on it (weathering and the like) in the new year, but for now it's done. No division as it's made up camo and I don't want to know that 635 of the 2nd Panzer Division, for example, had a different scheme

Bob,
Ah. I've never seen that mount. Of course, the next time I am looking through a panzer reference book I'll see one.

It was only on pre-war and 1939 - 1940 tanks, and also on some of those 6- and 8-rad armored cars. I'll guess the Wehrmacht wised up pretty fast on this once it ever saw action! You will find it in pic-pubs dealing with pre-war and Poland and France campaigns.
I for a long time wondered quite what it could be - fantasizing about it being a truly awesome pot-hook for the crew cook-out, etc. Dragon includes this in their Pz II B kits and in the Pz IV A. It may also be in that CyberHobby B kit and perhaps in the Dragon IV-C kit, as well?
Could be a cool dio detail...
Cheers!

We are (and I particular, I am... ) right down to the wire on Panzers.
I'm here to grovel and beg before the God of the Panzers Return campaign to let me have just 1 more day... Please
Here's my circumstance: My Pz II J is all but ready to photo and post - tools are detailed, etc. etc. But... I have to let my headlamps dry (it's one of those Future tricks to build the lenses, and I'm still filling little lamps as we "speak"...) before I can mount those front fenders, and I would like to toss a little final chalk dust around to settle things once those go on. My "PLAN" was to do this stuff tonight, complete with a couple photos for the finish, between completing the filet supper and before blowing perhaps 75 paper "round men" up into the chilly night skies come 11:59.59 (2359.59hrs) Central...
Ain't gonna happen, I'm afraid! Too many visitors and fam stuff.
So... IF I can please have 24 hours, I'll get it finished tomorrow mid-day and posted. I'd LOVE to end it within this campaign. OR If not, I'll just have to roll over and post it elsewhere on the 'rama! I'm at Your Mercies, Sir!
To ALL:
It's been Super and there have been all sorts of very cool panzers revealed! We've built at least a Division's - worth!
My hat is off to all who got done! Congrats on Great Jobs and See You in the Next Year!
