Been a while so here some photos on German Sd 232 Tamiya kit, starting to add photo etch details to it.

Rest of the seats
I'll paint them this weekend and add the small PE parts too.

I haven't updated in a while so I figured I would. Most basic assembly is done. I set up for paint, painted, and repainted. The first attempt dried a bit funny so I repainted it.
Not a lot to show on this one. I've found myself dragging my feet on this kit for some reason.

A quick update before New Years. The Scout Car is assembled and painted. The next step is getting together the stowage and Soviet crew. I'm back and forth on using it as a tow vehicle for the 45mm antitank gun. I might just use it as a recon vehicle....or maybe a staff vehicle.

Great work guys !!!
Dan, that 232 is looking great !
My progress
Still working on the detailed interior. PE parts are next.
Repainting the seats, I messed up and had painted them the wrong colour.
This Bronco is extremely detailed so I must work slowly and carefully, so I decided to do another build for this Campaign.. Crazy right ?

John,
I'm interested to see how the BTR-40 goes together. I was eying that one to use in Rust and Scrap Campaign as a vehicle being restored. It's an interesting looking vehicle and I still have it on my "to-get list".

I read on some reviews that it's off-scale (almost 1:32), but I don't mind, as far as I can see it's pretty detailed with an engine,
but this would be cool..
But since I can't find it in my usual shops.
I'll go with the standard kit.
As you can see several options..
These are quite nice

Added some PE small parts and other details on the M1114
Still need to apply some primer, paint it and add the decals
The instructions are getting messy and full of little details, I'm wondering if I should start painting some of these details now or later on ...

some great work over the christmad period. my 222 is back on the bench and well grey primer is on - at least it all looks like 1 thing rather than bits & pieces and a coke can ;-) next will be bas black & white painting. Going to try a technique i saw in MMI with black, white and 2 (possibly 3) shades of grey to give the basis for the dhading when i apply the sand coat... once i have the patch work effect on i will put some photos up

Hello,
Here is my contribution for the campaign : a LAV25 - Piranha from Italeri with a desert scheme.
It's my first modern vehicle and it seems that I did too much chipping on the paint ...
I have to paint the details (wheels, lights ...) and to weather the kit (wash, strikes ...).
Regards

managed a fair bit today - in fact more than I expected so have the field-applied sandy colour (buff + desert yellow + white) plus a lighter version on the top... photos dont really do it justice but:
next will be a filter (does raw umber sound OK for a sand colour?) once the paint has gone off 24 hours

Howdy Y'all
Arn-Nice, I was wondering how the kit wheels would turn out. They look nice. Seems like we all go for resin AM wheels these days.
Robert-It's coming along nicely, looking forward to more photos of your build progress.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Hello,
I just finished my LAV.
Thank you Don for your comment, but it will not turn out ... Next time !
I'm pretty happy with the weathering of the hull but I still have a lot of progress to do on the wheels and on the detailing (photoetched, etc ...).
But I took pleasure to build a modern car (Thanks the campaign for that ! )

ok... after adding the decals i have now gone over with oil filtering... getting a lot closer to the sandy colour i had envisaged when i first started... need to leave this lot to cure for a couple of days then i can hit with some matt varnish before moving on to the rest of the weathering...
thoughts/comments greatly received... i think i strill have a lot to learn on dot filtering - i think this is more like dot painting....

Hi MBR,
the definition from the Campaign page is:
"THE DEFINITION OF A ARMORED CAR IS A MILITARY VEHICLE THAT USE WHEELS INSTEAD OF TRACKS! It must also have armor and a weapons system."
So yes, the Nancy would qualify. Welcome on board!

MBR,
You could build the gun truck in the Extreme Truck Campaign.

Robert, the 222 is coming along well, I've use the dot method on a few projects and a little practice provides a unique look. I've been trying out some of the AK products, DAK wash and filters with some good results. More pictures of the 232.
Build Pz IV Ausf F1 - used dot method
Some products I've been using MIG - AK Interactive material
Recent Tiger Tank finished using above products.

Just joined up and will be doing a CMP Otter from Mirror Models:
My Tiger II for the Big Cats III campaign has progressed well so I figured I'd try working on a second kit.
