More progress on my 232.
Decided to paint the body and fenders separately.
Wheels painted.
Added armor I attached after the body was painted. Tool rack masked.
Radio antenna for separate painting.
I've also got the turret painted. I decided not to use the figure, and to just model the hatch closed. Should be able to get everything together, then next step is decal application.

Wow, they are all coming along nicely, great work all!
Finally got some time in on my ugly Otter now that my Tiger II is done. All reviews of this kit I have found describe it as "challenging". I concur. Bad words have been used but t is starting to take shape. I have finished off the undercarriage, lots of fiddly PE and wire bits, especially the shocks and steering:
The completed undercarriage ready for primer:
..and after a shot of primer...
now on the the body!

Primer on the BTR-40
Steering wheel and floor paint (still needs 2 or 3 more coats)
Also some details that need paint

Some work on the front of the cab, again lots of fiddly PE for the hatch hinges and pedals, also added a mount to the Boyes antitank rifle to fit in the kit supplied bracket and fabbed up the charging handle/trigger for the smoke grenade launcher out of some PE fret.

Hi John (Shorty53) I don't think I've seen a build of the Bushmaster before. Will be watching this one with interest as it's one of the few current military vehicles based on an Irish design. Might have to get one of these myself.
Don't think so Tim. It was designed in Australia, probably with some of the features (v hull), taken from other vehicles.

So, silly bugger that I am, I want to leave the doors and hatches open, so I found some interior pics and drawings and decided to do the interior of my Otter. One side almost done:

Great detail Colin and very neat too....
Sorry Matt, but I think you're wrong on two counts:
1) I'm Sean, not Tim
2) According to Wikipedia, which just validates an article I remember reading, the Bushmaster is an Irish design built under license in Australia:
"The Bushmaster is based on a design by Irish company Timoney Technology Ltd under a licence agreement with Perry Engineering in Adelaide; that licence was sold, with permission granted by Timoney as required by the licence terms, to Thales Australia."

Worked on both builds
I want to try some different techniques on this one, bonnet is open, damaged the front on purpose, will try some weathering products and rusted some parts, still a lot to work on..
And the M1114
Seats aren't glued.
Will work on the floor details soon.

The Voyager set for the Canadian LAV is horrible. The instructions leave assemblies out, all together. Some of the drawings don't show how the pieces look once assemble. Another problem is that the instructions have some parts call outs wrong. And, not all of the parts line up with each other once bent. I'm going to order a second set, because what is good is very good. I will also be ordering the E.T. set. I'm just disappointed with Voyager. This is the first of numerous sets that has me throwing down my knife and tweezers in disgust.

And after just two evenings at the bench it's starting to take shape.
Chassis mainly complete. This was a real PITA to put together and is not quite straight and level and is still very flexible. Hopefully putting the engine, hood, cabin and rear storage areas on will straighten it out...
And the cabin coming along nicely. I'm quite happy with the level of detail in it....will just add some gear from the stores box before closing it all up
Sorry the pics are so bad but it's not easy get clear shots of the dark plastic
