WOW! Sean, you threw a lot of pieces together in a short time I also am amazed at the number of parts, I use a magnifying hood along with my glasses and that many parts would give me a headache. I will keep an eye on your progress.

I haven't posted any updates in a bit.

Basic assembly is done.

Just playing around with some ideas.

Added a couple of washes, drybrushings, and some road dust/mud.

I'm basically calling this one done. I'm still undecided what it will be. I'll probably stick to the Soviet vehicle, therefore leaving the markings off. I might use it as a prime mover for a 45mm gun, might not. I might just keep it as a scout vehicle. I'll wrap it up with some stowage or something.

All in all, I enjoyed the build and Hobby Boss has once again put forward a nice and enjoyable kit.

Bob R,
It's the Hobby Boss kit. A great little kit. I caught it on sale during one of Squadron's weekly sales and paid about $25 for it.

I'm very interested to see you build the BA-20. Ark Models seems to be pushing a lot of old molds and it'll be interesting to see if it's worth messing with. I'd like to add a BA-20 to my collection.

Alex, the BA 20 was $14.69. I also purchased 2 other kits, with postage they came to $55.61.

Thanks Sean.

Bob R,
That's some pretty quick turnaround on the delivery. I'm assuming Squadron? Is that a rebox of the Alan or RPM kit? If memory serves, the RPM kit comes with an engine. I think both are pretty decent little kits.

It looks pretty good Bob. I don't see an engine so it's probably the Alan kit. Yay...parts appear to be numbered as well. I believe those were powered by Ford V8s. I've been keeping an eye on the Ark kits... if it builds up nice I might have to add it to my next order.

Yea it kind of looks like a Ram - its actual a shield. More photos 232 RAD 8 - next step was to apply a filter to the German Grey finish - Blue Filter for Panzer Grey - brush it straight from the bottle, however I went back over with thinner to vary the finish. Use AK Interactive 071 an enamel base paint.

The next step is to apply the Heavy Chipping (AK) acrylic paint - is a fluid to create big chip surfaces and scratches in a scale. Apply using a brush. Natural I will be applying an acrylic paint over it. Reviewing what I have on hand - either will use AK Interactive RAL8000 Gelbbraun (AK 702) or Vallejo Acrylic Surface Primer RAL 8000 German Green Brown using an airbrush. Reviewing B/W photos and reference books with color plates it seems a bit dark. After applying it I will go back over with lighter color to get a faded look.

I just looked at the excel spread sheet that I use to keep me straight with what build is which campaign and what date it needs to be completed by, I probably had a screw loose and missed that this #2 on my schedule. So I need to kick it into high gear and start my build tonight.

@Sean: that is a neat looking vehicle I am not aware if I have seen this version.

This ARK BA20 is ok, but:
1. plastic is soft.
2. not easy to sand.
3. knife cuts too deep without noticing.
4. adhesive must be used sparingly or it eats the plastic:
