Great job Robert !!
Here it is another update:
PE on seats and pedal brake.
Also some progress on the 2nd build,
Trumpy's BTR-40
The engine is very detailed, quite nice work from Trumpeter.
But there's no part in the instruction sheet to leave the bonnet / hood open ...

Some progress on my Otter:
It is a somewhat challenging build as the part numbers on the sprues are very faint and the instructions are not the clearest at times. I was going to add a bunch of detail to the engine but decided against it as it will be hidden and there doesn't appear to be any easy way of displaying it. One thing I don't like about this kit is that the Bren gun and Boyes antitank rifle are not included so I had to go buy an accessory kit with them in.

Nice start John and Colin - working on all the vehicle lights last night - tried out Aleen's Clear Gel Tacky Glue - goes on clear dries clear - I'm planning on finishing the 232 RAD 8 in an early DAK paint and will primer it in German Grey, then apply AKI mix before painting Braun (RAL 8020) and then rubber / wear off to show through the original grey. To loosely quote the KaLeu:
"For thousands of dollars computer in the house but not for 5€ a Mini-USB cable". Finally got one so here come a some pictures
The kit went together well and fast. The forms are showing their age/use and there is a bit more cleanup than on other AFV Club kits. Instructions sometimes need a look again action
She is strictly OOB and I am yet at a loss where to display her.

Some progress.
Suspension parts cleaned up and laid out.
Seams filled
and cleaned up
The instructions say to drill this bit, but looking ahead I don't see anything that actually goes here. I opened it anyway, I guess we'll see.
I have to say, I really do like these 1/48 kits, simple and goes together easily but the end result still looks good. This is a nice break from a Dragon Hummel I've been working on.

I finally got the etch in, for my entry. I started by shaving all of the screws off. Unfortunately, the knife slipped, gouged the hull, took off a few fine details and lodge itself in the bone of my middle finger. I have ordered a replacement kit. I have been able to get some work done, in spite of this.
I have to add straps to the jerry can rack. Oh, I am using Voyager PE 35398. It is a good set, overall. However, there are a few errors in the instructions. Not too much head scratching. I also intend to replace the shackles and tail lights. As well, I will be using E.T. Model's wheels, Voyager's turret upgrade, Alliance Modelworks' screws and a modified Trumpeter Stryker interior. I will be adding 4-5 Canadian troops as they would appear in Afghanistan. I may use some civilians, as I want to depict a checkpoint scene. Did the Canadians utilize dogs in A-stan?

I shaved off some hinges and gouged the ventilation. Trumpeter finishing options are Afghanistan 2003 and UN. The UN version would require major surgery. I'm going with a photo and will finish with am decals to depict it. I'm leaving off the spare tire rack, as it would interfere with the rear bulkhead opening.
