Cool builds and lots of great work going on in this campaign.
After painting the living room (yuck), I finished painting the fringe in the horse's armor, and worked on the saddle blanket.

I have a Trumpeter KV-2 that I should finish since it did not make the last KV campaign a couple of years ago.

Hello again.
Every time I see a KV-2 or a Char B1 being built up I get tempted to add them to the stash. So of course I have eBay opened in another window and I see the last two posts. Willpower.
Any ways here is where I am with the Achilles.
I think I'm finally done with the interior, but I may paint the battery box. If I do that I might add some wiring to it. I skipped it so far since it's practically invisible when the top is on.
Cheers
Jeff

Hi Bob, welcome on board. That KV is fine as there's no rule about how far along it is....the aim is to just finish! Don't forget to post a pic after it comes out of the dishwasher
David, any of them are good for the campaign
"Join with some unfinished project, armour, soft-skin, aircraft, figure, diorama, ship or Sci-Fi kit."
But I have a personal preference for Humvees. Maybe this can inspire you to finish the Pro-Art hardtop:
Plenty of choice there Rob. I guess you'll just have to pick one, get started and get finished!
Nice paint job on the Char B1 Marcin.
Great job on the interior Jeff. Will much be visible in the finished vehicle?

Thanks Sean. I'll be joining up as soon as I finish the Centurion I'm working on right now. You know, so that I don't finish one that was already started and relegate the one I'm working on right now back to the box. Kind of defeats the purpose you know. LOL

Sean, she is out of the dishwasher and I might should have left it on. A part fell off after the wash Thanks for allowing me in.

I got some painting done to the Leo 2 today...it's drying right now. I'll let it (and a Puma IFV for Big Cats) dry over night and try to get the red-brown paint on by week's end. Then it's down the home stretch, at least for those two.
Anyway, I was lookign at the Academy K1A1 I had planned on knocking out as part 3 of this campaign. Basically, all it needs is painting but I really don't feel like tangling with its paintjob right now.
I'm thinking about putting it on hold for sometime later and instead finishing an old Tamiya Panzer IV/D that has been gathering dust since the 90s. I'll probably go with a DAK vehicle and see where it goes from there.
I've got plenty of partials and unfinished kits. I've got four StuGs that I am working on. I figure I've got plenty of these to toss in to a decade or more Unfinished Business Campaigns.

Update on the HobbyBoss Leo 2.
We had some good weather so I was able to get some painting done. I'm painting this alongside the Puma IFV for the Big Cats Campaign.
Anyway, overall green.
Masked off using blue painter's tape. As with the Puma, the tape really didn't stick well. I had to constantly press the edges back down. I'll stick with using the blue tape for clear canopies and windshields.
Dried and masking tape removed.
I'll give it a few days to dry. Then, it's time to add the brown. After that, it should be a matter of the finishing stages with washes, drybrushing, etc.
This has been a nice little kit to build. There were some fit issues with the turret add-on armor but other than that I'd recommend it. Fairly inexpensive too. I think I picked mine up from Squadron for about $20-25.

@Marcin: the mud looks good what was your process?
@Alex: I use to have a large roll of the blue painters tape afte I helped my brother paint his house, but it seems to have walked off and that stuff cost's more now then when we bought it 8 years ago I pulled my KV-2 down and looked at it then put it back on the shelf, my headache did not want to play today so photos tomorrow.

The blue painters tape works pretty good for masking off clear parts like canopies and windshields. It tends to lay down better and it doesn't leave behind any glue when it's removed. I picked up a 3 pack a few years ago for some painting around the house. For general masking I use Anchor auto masking tape. It sticks a bit better. I use to get it free from work...we used it for packing. And I could get half-inch and 2-inch width rolls. The last time I used it it pulled away some of the paint. The next time I'm in Lowes I'll grab a roll of masking tape.

A while since the last update and here it is:
Working on the chain and balls and those are a real pain. Had to order some extra chains as there wasn't enough included.

Sorry Sean, decided to go with the fire dept. Humvee first. I don't like the fit of the ProArt top, I think I may have cut it down too far when cleaning it up. Going to take a while to fix it.
I had some fun scratchbuilding some items for the cargo area and plan on printing the decals on a color laser at work tomorrow.

Well, I haven't posted here in a long while but I finally did a bit of painting on my 233, or rather in. I decided to try and paint the radio.
I stopped because I started getting nervous. It's quite difficult due to my stroke as my depth perception is off. Eventually the knobs and thing on the face will be picked out in Black.

Gary, good to see you building. Hopefully things will get better for you.
Since I should be wrapping up my Leopard II this week, I figured I'd post a starter picture for my next Unfinished Business project. It's Tamiya's old Panzer IV/D. I bought this one back in the 90s and it literally has been gathering dust since. Seriously, you can see the dust on the surfaces. Anyway, I think all the parts are there. Somewhere I picked up a second set of tracks.I'll be starting on this one in a week or two. I'll be building it as a DAK vehicle.

It's been a while, but I've gotten a little work done over the last few months.
Painted the hooves using the 'drop & drag' method with oils.
Keith
Also used acrylics and oils on the eyes. Gave them a swirl with some light brown oil on the tip of a cotton swab (Q-Tip) to give them some depth. They will get a light wash of pinkish-yellow to dull the whites.

Update on the Leo 2.
Added the brown and final assembly.
Finish painting and decals. Added mirrors and tow cables.
And that's done. As with the Puma (Big Cats 3), I'm not going to do much in the way of washes. Again, just a light dark wash. I'll put a picture in the gallery in a few minutes.
This really was a nice kit. Hobby Boss continues to impress me with a nice and enjoyable product. Thing was cheap too...picked this kit up a few years ago for around $20. About the only issues I had were with the paint. As far as the kit, the fit of some of the parts was a little wanky and require care, especially the turret cheek armor.
Next up...Tamiya's old Panzer IV/D...DAK style.

@Keith: Nice paintjob on the horse.
@Alex: That Leopard looks great. The Leo 2A5 and upwards are so pretty.
I'm finally done with the assembly of the steel balls and chains on my Merkava IV. It's been a good month since I started on that bit and I'm so happy to be done with it.

Since getting active on the site again I thought I might as well get involved in this as I have so many unfinished kits its not funny.
Here's hoping I can get one of them finished at least.......

That horse is coming along very well Keith. Really looking forward to seeing the finished article.
Alex, great job on the Leopard.
Vegard, the detail of those balls & chains is astounding on the Charriot. But must have been a pain to actually do....nice job so far on what I think has to be the sexiest MBT around.
Hi James and welcome to Unfinished Business.....pick one from the shelf of shame, post a starting picture and get stuck in!
Having said that, I also have yet to start. Over-committed on all the great campaigns going on here....
