Quoted TextQuoted TextHas anyone been wanting a CheyTac M200 Intervention lately?
I'd be in for a set.
YES!
I've actually already finished the set when I posted the question. Now I'm well into rendering the models. Here's what's going to be included:
2 M200 rifles - 1 extended stock, 1 collapsed stock
14 magazines - 7 loaded, 7 unloaded
2 bipods - 1 open, 1 closed
I've also done up a set with silencer/suppressors attached. Includes everything as well. [/quote]
Mike- I got your email on these for fixes. Thank you! Re.. 1/35 CheyTac M200 Intervention Silenced MSP35-035

Ok, amoz. I just got the email saying that it couldn't be printed again. I think what might've happened is that I uploaded the older model file instead of the new. One. Nonetheless I'll check out the model and see what can be improved. Luckily the KY-57 is ok now.

I recieved the results back from the "Print it Anyway" order I made of a few items and I implemented the necessary changes that were recommended. The Soda bottle set has been edited along with the Intervention set. Tomorrow I will be updating the Shapeways products.

Would anyone be interested in me releasing the 155mm barrel for the Takom T30 or the Dragon T95 155mm?

Hi Mike, just saw your post and had a few ideas that would be simple. As a dio. builder one thing that is hard to find would be hand tools any thing from simple carpenter hammers and wrenches, screw driver from old 1930's to modern would be rakes, shovels, masonry tools things of that nature. Real good ones just don't really exist. A 1940's style Packard engine for P.T. boats or aircraft might be a consideration also. Just a few starter ideas which given a bit of time I could come up with a bunch more acc. type ideas. Good luck with this venture, and I would be happy to review these type of sets. I do some reviews for Armorama which you can check to see how I call them. Bob D. aka dioman 13.

Pretty good ideas. While the engine is a bit out of my league for the time being, then tools I can definitely take a swing at.

Yeah I see that. I'll check out what's wrong and fix it.
Update: I didn't think the fixes would be that quick. The problems were all centered around 4 areas in the muzzle break. It was difficult to understand the picture Shapeways sent but I think I got it as fixed as it can be without taking away too much detail or overscaling it.

This time there's a lot of areas they marked up. I'm busy until about 12 so I won't be able to do much until then.

Hi Mike
How about making engines for german 250/251 halftracks and any other ww2 armour.... all those armoured vehicles which can have open hatches. So many nice armour kits are without engine or internal turret detail, eg gun detail.

I can attempt some engines but I'd need to find some really good diagrams before I do. The 250/1 engines, the Maybach HL 42, is already produced by Great Wall Hobby. About turret interior, I could attempt it but like I said I'd need to find some good diagrams and measurements and then design it based for a specific kit.
I've finished the needed changes to the McMillan TAC-50 set but unfortunately, Shapeways wouldn't accept it when I updated the product. It marked it as "unprintable" because of "thin walls" when everything but small areas of the muzzle break where green. It's also giving me a headache because it won't recognize a leg of the front bipod on the extended part. I don't know why but I'm trying a few solutions.
Edit: I got it to work by attaching the legs to the sprue and uploading a new model. The McMillan set is now available again!

Now this part is important which is why I'm putting it in a new post.
For anyone who purchased or will purchase the 1/35 CheyTac M200 Intervention set I have 'instructions' to help you attach the bipods. Because it is a tight fit, it will take some persuading to get the bipod seated correctly. To do this I have some tips:
1. Cut the legs of the bipod free CAREFULLY but leave it attached to the overall sprue (I have pictures to explain what I'm explaining).
2. Use the sprue to push the bipod down to its position against the nub on the bottom of the barrel jacket. The nub should rest inside the bipod body.
It's a very tight fit so take it slowly and carefully. Unfortunately, the collapsed bipod has an even tighter fit and is also very fragile. There's also no sprue like on the extended bipod to help with placement. I expanded both bipod rings to make the fit a bit looser but I'm not sure how much looser it is. I'll provide the set of two bipods as a separate set as well.
Unfortunately there will be no pictures for the time being... Photobucket is being stupid again.

Unfortunately time expired before I could edit the previous post but I have pictures!
This is the picture I was talking about in the instructions for the Intervention:
Should look like this.
Pictures uploaded to Shapeways:
And I know this isn't related to the Intervention set but I finally have pictures of the M3X SU-233/PVS flashlight set!
And of the 1/35 soda bottles:
The soda bottles set is also now available. I just found out that it wasn't shown in the shop before because both materials were set to hide.

Top notch work as usual sir. If I may point out, the bottom of the soda bottle looks a little out of proportion. The rest looks great tho.

Thank you very much. I know about the problem with the bottles and it does bug me. Unfortunately there's nothing I can really do about the current model. I can make a new one though.

It should be a new product. I couldn't get through the system so I went around it and just uploaded the new, updated model as a new product.

Mike,
I am not aware of a really nicely done command launch unit (CLU) for the FGM-148 Javelin missile rounds in 1/35 scale. This looks difficult to model. Have you considered this one?

Forgive me if I have posted this idea prior but I don't think I included photos.
A semi-tractor fifth wheel, I think would be a good candidate for 3D printing. It is a more or less timeless and unchanged object 1940 thru today. There are tons of Chevy, GMC, White, Diamond T and Studebaker truck conversions out there just waiting to be built. Up to now I have had to rob them off toy trucks. Custom Factory now offers a Russian fifth wheel in resin that is so-so.
(I would prefer one of the round design as shown rather that the newer oval style.)

Toy fifth wheel on Deuce and a Half converted to to 1 -1/2 ton Chevy semi-tractor. (Great detail for a toy!)
