Matthew, love your M36. Great work!
Colin, that, honestly, is the best winter camo I have seen. Having spent 6 years on AFVs, your interior "wear and tear" is excellent....it looks lived-in, but also cared for.
Donnie, beautiful Stuart, looks like it has been living in the bocage.

I have not been completely sitting around doing nothing while everyone else has made great progress.
My YPR-765 has been decaled, had a pin wash of dust applied and given a dull-coating in preparation for a light weathering and final assembly. Have been painting the rubber, one-piece tracks, provided by AFV. When I built AFVs M730A1 Chaparral, I used the provided single-link tracks, as you cannot easily achieve the necessary sag characteristic of the M113 FOV. As it turned out, as soon as you add the swim skirts, you can't tell.
I stripped the paint from the Aussie MRV and applied primer and then semi-gloss aluminum paint. 99% of the hull and turret are an armor alloy aluminum. Then I sprayed on a water-based hair spray.
The turret was accidently primed with the clear coat. But, since it was a flat clear I went ahead and painted aluminum over that and then a coat of hair spray.

Jeff, thank you! That is high praise coming from someone who has actually served in an AFV. I always try to keep my weathering realistic and not overdo it.
Matthew, the new pictures in natural light do so much more justice to you M36! Now we can truly see the subtle weathering and fading you did, an excellent job recreating that vehicle!

Colin,
I agree with you concerning vehicle interiors. Crews take pride in their vehicle. Even when we were in the field for weeks, when we were in an assembly area, we were sweeping up dried mud, dusting off the radios, cleaning weapons, etc.

....
As for extensions, that will depend on how close some of you are to finishing. I might extend it for a week, but that's all. ....
Thanks for answer, Gary.
One week extra would be great.

My YPR-765 should be complete by deadline. My Aussie MRV, due to painting issues will probably require a couple more days.

I have been hacking away at the peripherals on the Dutch YPR-765. The rubber band tracks have been painted, with acrylics, and weathered with more acrylics, a wash and pastels:
Being a form of rubber, the rubber pads sanded nicely to give a worn look then pastels dirtied them.
I have also been painting and attaching all the small parts like vision blocks, gun sight, lights, spare track blocks, and several parts that I have no idea what they are. I spent an hour or so putting "commo wire" on to the real that attaches to left of rear ramp: Getting it started was worst part. Used CA glue to anchor then started treading around the spool.
The road wheels and idlers were attached and the sprockets will go on with the tracks:

Jeff,
Those tracks do look great, especially for being rubber bands.

Thanks, Mark. Have to use acrylics, can't use enamels they will just flake off.

Interesting, as I've always found acrylics to do the same thing. One of the reasons I refuse to use rubber bands, the other being the near impossibility of getting them to lay down in the right shape.

Hello there
I think I'm done with this one. Few little niggles that were my fault not the kit's... all in all quite enjoyable. No real problems (aside form my own limitations)
The ridge from the masking tape is nowhere near as prominent in real life. Might try and fix it but probably just leave it and put it down to experience.
Cheers
Sean

Mark,
I am using them because the swim skirts hide the top run, so don't need to worry about the sag.
