Can't wait to see the winter wash, Colin.
I'm 99% done with assembly. Just need to add the last couple of peices to the wheels.
Cheers

AFV: IJN I-58
Hello everyone, I am proud to present the finished Type B IJN I-58.
Sunny morning, warm breeze through the palms, calm water as she rounds the point heading north east where she will find the ultimate prize, the USS Indianapolis heading at full speed for home.
I had a great time and this build was very therapeutic for me as I have a tendency (as many of us do) to bite off more than I can chew in this hobby. Its great to finish one up.
Thanks for having me and letting me represent the wetter side of AFV,
Bryan
That is such a great build and dio Bryan.

Evening all.
Really feels like I’m making progress now. The interior of the M36 has had several washes (or is that filters?). And I’ve done a bit of chipping and a bit of wear and tear on the non-slip flooring with a trusty HB pencil. Oh and I added the grab handles to the engine deck.
Here are a few pictures…
(I might have to gently sand those grab handles - I can still see some sprue gate on them...)
With no pedals or steering mechanism I wonder how the poor driver drove this beast....
Doh, there's a nasty circular mould push-release mark (can't remember the right word) on the inner turret ring... Maybe I'll cover it with a scaled down copy of playboy, or Hrvatski tjednik...
With the interior done, I’ve also mated the lower and upper parts of the turret. This is the only step where I’ve encountered fit issues with this kit, otherwise she's a corker.
Now, time to move on!
Oh, and there are some great builds here. Especially like that sub. Looks ace Bryan. Very cool water effects. I've never attempted that - still there's always time.
Cheers

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the sub. It really exceeded my expectations, it kind of gives off its own light. Anyway I was happy to put it up here with all these other builds.
@Matthew- those are called ejector pin marks (EPM sometimes) and they do indeed suck. Im sure everyone would prefer a playboy magazine instead of those EPMs.
Cheers,
Bryan

Where I am with the Sd.Kfz 251/20:
Paint all the tools and little bits, then seal her up for weathering. Also have the tracks to prep; they're vinyl belts and not indy links like the Dragon 251/2 I built recently.

Main Body Colour is on, Vallejo Model Air Middle Stone. First time I have actually tried spraying these paints. Bought them by accident once thinking they were just normal paints for brushing on, so I have previously only used them for washes and weathering with a brush.
Don't know how the rest go but Middle Stone seems remarkably transparent and I used most of a bottle to get even coverage over all the parts. I do like how easy it sprayed though.
The scheme I am doing is 1st Battalion, 1st NZ Army Tank Brigade, Pukekohe, New Zealand, 1943, hence no sand skirts, and no external fuel tank.

Base coat chipped, decals, wash, sealed, hairspray and winter whitewash sprayed on, ready for second round of chipping! Whitewash is Tamiya flat while with a drop or two of deck tan added to tone down the whiteness. Plugging away at the Masterclub tracks in the background.

OK, so I couldn't wait to try chipping the whitewash, I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Hello there,
Been plugging away at the Dorchester... really nice kit IMHO.
Interior just has a rough finish as only one door will be open.
Cheers
Sean
Pretty nice look for a "rough" finish.

Looks awesome! Have fun with those track links...
FV-101 is finished:
There's not much I can say went right with this build apart from the periscope lenses, which actually came out pretty decent. Working with the AFV Club indy link tracks required every bit of patience I could muster and then some.

Dustin-That turned out very well. Lots of nice tonal variations. Are you still going to apply a filter? Looks like you have a new cutting mat as well.
