Hello Guys,

pardon my ignorance, but i had built a couple of AA stuff a few years back- does this qualify as an entry after I enlist?

I got a picture of the stuff, but my digital cam was zonked back then:

No, I do not think this will be accepted. I think it needs to be something you build for the campaign specificly.

Thinking of enlisting for this one as I have an interesting idea up my sleeve! Will keep you guessing until i'm sure - have a diorama to finish yet!

Hello Jepot,
I'm sorry, you should build some new AA stuff for the campaing. Previous bulids are not enough to earn the ribbon.
I don't mind if you start a kit before starting date (January 3rd) and assembled the kit, let say in 40% before starting date, but models finished before that date cannot be submited as campaing entry.

Hello

Last night I posted some WIP photos to the wrong thread. There is an “AA Champaign” listed above the official thread for this campaign? Anyway here are some photos of my progress so far. This build is OOB no photo etched or resin parts. I did have to scrounge a new Notek light form another kit and I added some lug nuts to the front tiers. Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am. :

Sam,
Looking good. I just got the same kit in yesterday's mail. Looks like a smooth build.

Hello Warlord!

I am going to build an AA halftrack for the "Of wheels and Tracks" campaign. I was wondering if I could also join this build with the same model? If allowed, I would have to determine if I could join anyway since this build ends 2 months earlier than that campaign. Thanks for a reply.

As for me you can join two campaings, but also campaing leader of the Of Track and Wheels campaing agree to such entry. I pm'ed him and let you know his decision.

Hi Guys, well, you could submit for both but, u have to abide by the rules set for the Wheels and Track Campaign.

Quoted Text

The rules are simple
- cannot start kit prior to start date

Rules are rules but I am trying to be very flexible with the rules i have set. So if you want to have a go at both, just wait for 1st Feb to start. It won't be fair to the other if i give you a head start. Is that ok with you?

Hi Jeremy,

I think it's a good idea to stick official threads of active campaings, thanks.

@Warlord and Danial--I wont start until after february first--I need to order a PE set for the model anyway.

@Warlord--I will enlist and hope to make the build within 4 months--I'm in the construction field and sometimes I dont have time for building models if things get "busy". I will try to finish it up tho! I intend to build the Tamiya Sd. Kfz 7/1 8 ton Flakvierling

does anyone know if there is a company other than friulmodels who make individual track links for the Sd. Kfz 7/1 8 ton Flakvierling?? I've been looking online as time permits and haven't found anything yet. Thanks for any responses to this.

Hi there everyone. I thought that I would post a couple of pictures of the kit that I finally decided on for this campaign.

It is the German 3.7cm FLAK 37 antiaircraft gun MIT Sd.Ah.52 produced by Tamiya.

Hopefully I will have some photos to post soon.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the campaign WARLORD.

I am working on three at the same time to see which one will worthy of entering a photo :-)

I have the Academy Whirlbelwind, a Tamiya flak, and a Dragon Pz-1 with the flak.
So far the Academy is a real pain with alot of seams and flash everywhere but I am building it strictly OOB down to the baaad rubberband tracks. I only paid ten bucks for it

Hi Jerry,
if you mean a "sticky" thread, it basically means a thread that will always appear at the top of the forums list, it wont disappear down the screen as new threads get started, so its much easier to find.

You're actually in the "sticky" This is when an admin/moderator make a thread stick at the top of the forum. That way the thread stay on top even if nobody post in it for a lenght of time. If you look at the little icon on the left of the threads you'll see a few that got push pin. Those threads will stay there until and admin remove the "sticky" and then they will fall into oblivion with time

thanks for the explanation. Building models is a lot easier than navigating in strange waters -

My entry to the campaign is an M-247 Sgt York air defense system. I'll start tomorrow and hopefully will be able to post some pix.

I have made a start on my Italeri Crusader AA. Attached the suspension arms to the lower hull.

I've been waiting a week for the PE I ordered from HobbyEasy to be sent.
I sent them an email to find out why thay have charged me for the items already but appear not to have actually posted them.

Not meaning to be a spoil-sport, but a few years ago, items like this were thrashed out (discussed).
It ws a big NO to using the same model to get two ribbons.
One model, one campaign, one ribbon.
The whole idea behind the campaigns was to get people building, not giving away ribbons easily. A ribbon had to be earned. It might have changed somewhere in between, but I never heard of it.
As Jeremy has taken over control of the campaigns, this decision should probably rest with him.
