Hi All,
I just joined the Achtung Jabo Thread.
I've completed a Tamiya Sd.Kfz 250/9 german halftrack. Which is ready to paint.
I hope I'm able to make some photos next week.

Sam, Great AA half track you have there. It looks very good. Did you spray the camo or is it hand painted?
The camouflage scheme looks really good and looks very historically correct. Did you use any particular reference for the camouflage scheme or did you go for what looked right?
Martin, Looking forward to see you pictures

Very nice looking Crusader you've build Marcin.
Can you show us some photos of turret interior?
And I've started to work on my Crusader .
Here you can see my progress.

Hello Everyone,
I actually finished my entry for the Achtung Jabo Campaign early for a change (usually drying the last coat of paint on the last day of the campaign).
It's the Tamiya Krupp Protze with a 20mm Flak38 in the cargo bed. It's going to be placed in an Eastern Front diorama in the future. All comments and critiques welcome.
Thanks for looking. -Jerry

It's nice to see more and more finished models.
@Tomek - I'll try to shoot some pics of interior in free time but I haven't done anything special there. Just few scretchets

I posted my entry a few days ago, but i can't find it now. At the risk of being redundant, I'm posting it again.
This piece of equipment had more pieces in it than I have ever run into. The build was straightforeward though, and no real problems were encountered. The instructions did not call out the camo colors so I just sort of guessed - I used what I had( You may notice I'm a little color-blind

Nice Sgt. York. I did an old school Tamiya kit for my entry. I'd hate to be the guys on it while moving.. Model Master enamels, oils and pastels used overall. All the extra gear came from the spares box "Q"

There's some very nice builds coming together I see, and not just new super-kits but quite a few old gems showing they can be just as good.

I am really impressed by the quality of the entries I've seen so far. I had no idea there was such a wide variety of AAA out there. Think I'll fly a lot higher over the battlefields from now on!

Here is an update on the German 3.7cm FLAK 37 antiaircraft gun MIT Sd.Ah.52 produced by Tamiya that I am building.
I thought I would post a picture of the initial construction now that it is complete. I should have a picture of the initial painting to post in a day or so.
Thanks for looking.

I was able to get the initial coat of dark yellow on my German 3.7cm FLAK 37 antiaircraft gun MIT Sd.Ah.52 today. So I thought I would post a photo of it. I was able to get the ammunition and the range finder painted as well.
Hopefully I will be able to start the detail painting on the gun itself in a day or two.
Thanks for looking.

Wow! Great to see so many cool models in this tread
@Jerry, cool Protze AA truck. It looks very good. I know for certain that it got at least one vote for model of the month Good luck in the competition.
@JERRY: nice Sgt. York. The colours look fine to me. I remember seeing this one in similar colours at Aberdeen proving grounds some 10+ years back.
@Matthew: very cool field modification to the Horch. Nice touch to leave the gun in another colour than the Horch. I remember this kit myself - old school, but quite nice
Great entries, gentlemen. Thanks for sharing

Hello folks, took my time to post some pics about my entry to this campaign, but here I´m....
Will be a M-163A1 Chilean Air Force vehicle. Only added a few cables and some parts were made with pastic sheet to make it more close to the real ones, but it´s mostly OOB.
Painted with Humbrol enamels, detailing has started with Vallejo Acrilics. Took some liberty and started adding some chipped paint and stuff. Gotta place the decals and keep on doing the weathering and detail paint.
Lot of work yet to be done, but I guess I´ll finish it before the end line.
Thanks for looking
Cheers

Looks cool, Klaus. Very nice weathering
You must have most of the Chilean armoured vehicles build by now? Dont you get tired of the desert camouflage?

Thanks Jesper, not near to have all of them, but at least quite a few of the main examples....and I have too many greenish vehicles, so it´s a good rest to them
I have to place and draw decals and markings, and the real weathering hasn´t started yet
Cheers

Wow Klaus, by this time I thought you ran out ot Chilean vehicles... but you keep up coming with more!
Nice looking Chilean bucket you got over there, can't wait to see it weathered fully. However, is it my eyes, the angle of the photo or is your bucket leaning a little to the right?
Keep up the good work!

Hey guys
my entry for the campaign is the Tamiya Sdkfz 7/2 . I have used the Modelkasten wheels and tracks, Tankworkshop front wheels and Eduard photo-etch. I also scratch built the tool lockers and the spare wheel holder, although you cannot really make these out unless you turn the vehicle over.
It is painted and weathered to try and depict a GrossDeutschland Division vehicle around the time of the third battle of Kharkov. As you can imagine in the winter of '42/'43 vehicles would soon become worn and weathered due to the severity of the elements, that is the effect i have tried to reproduce. All constructive comments welcome as usual.

110 members are enlisted to the campaing!
That looks great at campaing's profile but when you look to campaing's gallery your smile is gone. Only 9 participants have put ther their finished work so far.
These are:
Seuss95b
TheMedic,
Propnut 66
Plasticbattle,
Tumi,
Torchy,
SGTJKJ,
SGehling
and me.
There are also 3 entries without their pics in gallery. Red4, Dexter 059 and Hawkeye - please submit at least one picture of yours work to campaign's gallery. (Thank you)
The rest 98 enlisted, you have less than 40 days to finish your models.
What is your status? Does anyone need extension and eventually how much time do you need?
