I might need some extension. The PE set hasn't arrived yet from Luckymodels (ordered it 2 months ago), and I really don't want to go ahead and build the kit without it.

Sorry that I haven't been posting too much, school and work was getting rediculous this past week and I've only had time to read the posts, just not answer. We opened a $14 million football stadium (the oxymoron sport for our European members) and they wanted all hands getting it ready, quite an experience but we still lost the freaking game.... Ok so I'm going to answer all of these at once.
Ok, I see you have photos in your gallery. I am assuming you want one or more of those photos to be posted. Here is how you do it. Click on the photos you want and then scroll down when the image opens. You should see a field with UBBCode and then what looks like a URL that starts with [IMG]. Copy the entire thing and paste it in your forum post. If that doesn't work or you are still having trouble, tell me in detail what you tried to do and I'll help troubleshoot.
Well you have until November 31st. Since its just now September I'm not going to grant an extension just yet. Send me a PM sometime in Novemeber and I'll address it then.
No problem. I think we even have already had someone build one.
BTW if anyone still wants to help design the campaign ribbon, I'm still taking designs.
Jeff

Definatly one of the best so far. I love the weathering. Tires look great. My favorite part has to be all those tiny scratches around the front. The mud splatter looks great too.

I agree, this is definitely a great model. Your ability to make the mud caked on is beautiful. Congrats.

Hello guys.
Me and Adam Wilder were working the pass month with this nice project, and we painted these two models during the last week (in 5 days and 1 month working with amaster from my friend Iñigo Echeverri).
We painted at the same time to see how each one can interpretate the same subject with a different look. Was a nice competition and the result is curius under my point of view. While he worked his Lebanese Force Green-sand camo with a lot of fading, discolorations, chips and effects, I worked my IDF truck just with filters and fine chips.
I decided to show here these models because I find this new campaing from jeff a couple days ago.
I don't know if this is the way to show the work, but excuse me if I made something wrong.
I hope you like it and any comment will be welcome.
(I uploaded the photos to the member gallery in Armorma)
The models:
MIG's NUN NUN
Painting the base color:
I worked all surfaces with filters, only filters.
Some chips:
This is ADAM's work, a beatiful work of dust and chipsand a lot fading.
He worked making lights and shadows to create volumen and contrast:
The camo was painted by hand:
After chipping, fading with oils.
A lot of dust:
Thanks all
MIG

Well, I finally finished my AVGP Cougar!! Yay!!! I got rid of the dark gray 'moon camo', fixed up a bunch of stuff pointed out by various members (special thanks to Jason 'LeoCmdr' Bobrowich) and finished it as the Canadian recce troop commander's vehicle in Bosnia ca '93/'94 during the UNPROFOR deployment.
Here's a sample pic, the rest will be uploaded to the campaign page:
thanks for looking....

Great models in this campaign. The two trucks and the "how to" are great.
Marcin, also your BTR-70 looks great. Nice camouflage scheme and weathering.

Mig, great job and I especially like the how to. That really adds to the flavor of the campaign. Make sure you "enlist" on the campaign page.
Bob, your Cougar is great. Nice to see the UN scheme since it isn't seen too much.
Delbert your Horch seems to be coming along well. Hope to see more.

Just for an update,
Should be able to finish before the deadline. Didn't like the cover that came with it so I'm making one from scratch.

A little update on my Opel Blitz. I started to paint the main color from Gunze Sangyo's Panzer Colors Set II. The grey areas will receive paint as soon as I put the remaining small parts on, I didn't want to endanger them yet. With so many thin, small parts, it is sure that something will break...
What I am thinking of is to whether to cover the rear or leave it open and top it with stowage...

Nice Hummer Yukey. Did you scratch-build the ASK armor or was it an aftermarket piece?

Bah! You have done a fine job on your Quad. Don't be so hard on yourself. A minor suggestion for future models is that you may try to add a little sand color or even less white to the black to fade it. It stands out quite a bit. Black tends to fade quickly in use. What I'm seeing though may also just be an aftereffect of the camera flash.
Emre, your Opel is looking great thus far. What theater will you be painting it towards.
Yufkey, your humvee is quite fantastic. I'm assuming thats the Eduard set for the ASK? If it is I've been meaning to ask someone whose used it if it comes with the clear "glass"? Anyway your painting is excellent especially the blending of the 3-tone NATO scheme.
I hope to continue to see everyone's great projects as they continue along.

Thanks for the feed back and the ASK kit is from Eduards and no it doesn't come with the glass. I had some plastic glass left over from another model. So I just double it up. I got the effect i was looking for by doing this. It was alittle diffcult for me to put together. My PE skills are still in the devoplment phase. There is an article in last month Fine Scale Modeling Magizne in detail on how to scratch build an ASK kit.
