Hello guys I finished my model for the campaign. It was a fun kit, I build models to learn and get better. I did learn a thing or two so the project was a step forward. I would like to say all the other models in this campaign are fantastic great job everyone.

Well, I gave up on the Pink Panther PE. I shelved the project, and pulled a 1/72 Katyusha I thought would be a breeze.
Have I been wrong. The kit was a nightmare. The parts are not numbered (the instructions have the numbers), the instructions are bad (I mean B-A-D), and some of the parts are oversized, or don't fit.
I wasn't worried about the accuracy after a week. It's ready for painting, and it seriously took more time than any those pesky, "overengineered" DML kits.
As soon as my regulator arrives (the one I had died) it will be painted, and then I put it away so that I never see it again.
But I'll be able to finish in time.

Hi Sheldon,
thanks for the positive comment
Let´s get back to the workdesk and finish the beast. It´s always good to see others´ ideas... especially in case of this truck, which had 100s of different faces when being in action.

Jeff, yes I am thinking about a dio,to include a braille M4A3(105) on the back..So weathering will be held back a bit until then.

Ok, so here is what I need from everyone. If you need an extension, I need to know about it before the 31st. Request it here or through a PM. Otherwise I can't grant you one. I'm making up the ribbon now and will be making a spreadsheet of everyone who has completed an entry.
We're almost there.
Jeff

I'll probably need an extension. Snce the PE for the SAS rover did not arrive (went postal), I settled for a 1/72 Katyusha. It's in its painting stage now.

Oops, thanks for the reminder Jeff, I would have missed the deadline!!
I think I can finish the Steyr until Friday, but maybe a prognostic extension including the comming weekend would be wise ...
best wishes
Steffen

Being the first to ask for an extension, I repeat my plea, I might need up to a week to catch up as my model was sabotaged by an opportunist 9 year old who commandeered the Opel Blitz from the model closet and tried to drive it around rather harshly. With exams this week and a project due for the weekend, I need to repair it and complete weathering, which brings up timing issues.
At least it was a merciful 9 year old, he put all the pieces he broke into the back of the truck or on the shelf. Sometimes I feel like life itself is mocking me.

Here is the ribbon I just designed up. Its not my best, but I think it incorporates the some of the essential features of this campaign: a wheel, a W for...wheel and the kangaroo that was in the original ribbon for the first Move It, since Cliff was the founder of the first campaign.
Those that have and will ask for an extension, I will be getting in touch with you shortly.
Jeff

Finally finished my entry! I'm sure all of you know this is Tamiya's old Horch 1a. I built this OOB. The only additions I made were I added Hornet heads to the crew and tissue paper soaked in white glue over the rear tarp, seats, and windshield canvas to add texture. All comments and critiques are most welcome.

That base you have done?
Is that a slab of clay or something just sitting on the wood or glued there.

Art and Dave, great entries from you both. Interesting to compare axis and allied softskins although not in entirely the same class.
Art, you did a fantastic job on the figures. Very lifelike and with realistic camo clothing.
Thanks for participating both of you
