Part II - The Figures

The 1/16 figures at this point are a combination of Verlinden, Kirin, Tamiya, and moderate conversions.
The diorama represents the 5th Fallschirmjager and Tiger 411 from sPzAbt 506 who were present east of Bastogne and west of Wiltz. My research indicates possible contact with one of the units and.....Yes there were earlier Tiger I's in this Campaign. I was going to initially use a Tiger II but the only one available to me was the (Porsche turret version) and they simply were not present in the Bulge. In brief the earlier Tiger I however were recycled through in very limited numbers from (unquote) maintenance units. At least I know the early cupola was there from photos. Whether the late steel wheels were dominant I really don't know.

This thread is 4 years old, so I think that there is little hope of seeing more of it. I too first came to Armorama with this link when it was brand new. Stupidly I never really joined Armorama until recently.

Exactly. The pictures were never sent in. I'm not sure if they are available anywhere in the internet. I put in quite some time once trying to find them but to no avail.

I love the rust effect on the tail pipes. I have tried this effect with white putty mixed with acetone with varied results. Very realistic effect .
