1⁄35Ardennes Advance - A lesson in detail
What I normally do, which I'm sure is common knowledge is drill out each
member (all joints) and start playing around with poses and an overall
composition with all of them in mind. I try to visualize the squad as one. So
they flow together. Off balance poses are favorable here in order to establish
some emotion. I chose to have them moving from right to left (against the
grain). We are all used to reading from right to left so if you want the viewer
to slow down on the pass then it's always good to try and incorporate this
method. If the opposite is applied then it would help to speed through the
scene, which is fine if you can direct the "pass" or habitual left to right
glance back into the scene. I enjoy this part the most because it establishes
the story.
