Ardennes Advance - A lesson in detail

What I normally do, which I'm sure is common knowledge is drill out each member (all joints) and start playing around with poses and an overall composition with all of them in mind. I try to visualize the squad as one. So they flow together. Off balance poses are favorable here in order to establish some emotion. I chose to have them moving from right to left (against the grain). We are all used to reading from right to left so if you want the viewer to slow down on the pass then it's always good to try and incorporate this method. If the opposite is applied then it would help to speed through the scene, which is fine if you can direct the "pass" or habitual left to right glance back into the scene. I enjoy this part the most because it establishes the story.

This thread is 4 years old, so I think that there is little hope of seeing more of it. I too first came to Armorama with this link when it was brand new. Stupidly I never really joined Armorama until recently.

Funny, that the diorama itself is not shown?

Exactly. The pictures were never sent in. I'm not sure if they are available anywhere in the internet. I put in quite some time once trying to find them but to no avail.

I love the rust effect on the tail pipes. I have tried this effect with white putty mixed with acetone with varied results. Very realistic effect .
