What does being 2 I/C involve?
In this case it would involve having a good understanding of the premise of the campaign and helping field questions about it, especially during times I might be on vacation or swamped with work.
Basically assiting in keeping an eye on the campaign thread to make sure nothing that needs attnding goes too long without some feedback.

I'm in. It's time for the M108 or Type 83 to be built.

I have submitted the proposal. I'll make sure everyone knows where to find the enlistment page when it becomes available.
The proposed running period is August 1st (2008) to January 31st (2009).
I plan on doing one of these:
...unless that plan changes.

Is the campaign on? When will it take place?
I have a couple of vehicles in my stash that would fit (couple of M-109, M-110, MLRS, etc etc...), so I would gladly join. However, I don't have much free time before the summer.

Sounds like this idea has some "range" sorry for the arty pun.
I have several kits which would work well for this one. Can't wait to sign up.

I am still waiting for the powers that be to get around to considering my campaign proposal. The campaign submission area says that can take up to a couple weeks, so...
I proposed the dates of August 1 to January 31 for the run time, so that is pretty much after the summer!
All of your possible subjects sound great!

I will join then, if and when the campaign is approved. The time-frame sounds good!

Seems that there are more than enough people interested in the campaign, So hopefully it will get approved.
TacFireGuru (aka Mike) has offered up his extensive knowledge of Self Propelled Guns as Second in Command of this campaign. He should be able to answer lots of technical questions I can't, and will also help me manage the campaign before and during.
Thank you Mike!

Does anyone know how long it takes for the campaign manager to respond to a campaign submission?

It can take a bit of time depending on a variety of things (which of course really isn't an answer
). Part of the process is timing....ensuring that there's not too much going on at the same time...hence the request for the "campaign's requested run dates." Speaking of which, I need to update that tracker don't I?

Hey all,
I just updated the Campaign Schedule (shows only approved Campaigns)
HERE so you can check for potential dates. Right now, mid- to late-2008 start dates appear to be the best.
And, I'm really trying hard to work out the "getting's" of 155mm SPG. We'll see........

Well, your up to 4 people now.
I hope my Morser Karl will work, since it was largest SP gun ever made. This will work good for me.
My K5 Leopold for the Incoming II campaign and Karl for this one.

In fact, I was hoping someone would do one.

I signed up for this one. I have an old Italeri Katuscha that needs to get from the ever growing stash to the display case with finished models.
Vance, if you need some banners for this campaign - let me know. I am making some for the half track campaign anyway and can make a few extra during next week.

Looks like that makes 10 signed up - a good start for only a little more than 24 hours after it going up on the campaigns area!
Jesper - I'd be pleased to entertain any ideas for banners or ribbons you might have.
I incorporated the acronym "SPIF" in case I wanted to use it on the ribbon, but that isn't required.
