Thanks for the encouragement guys.
Thanks to Jason Miller and his assortment of pictures I think I know how the suspension works, at least cosmetically.
Left this is a master of the passenger seat that intend to cast to save me the work of building eight, The two front cab seats have different head rests so I will cut off two of these head rests and fabricate two others.
Next is a sandwich of styrene which I carved the lower part of the suspension. Next to that is my first failure. When I really looked at the photos I could see the bump where the suspension and the huge coil spring seat with the shock inside. Far right is what I'm thinking it looks like now. I was going to cast four of these but of course there are left and right ones so I might as well tough it out. The copper spring is a bit slight but ithis is the correct dimensions.
This is the interior tub with the Air Conditioner installed. I have the interior ceiling vent work done and the two rows of benches that the seats are attached to as well. I made the fuel tank separate because I like the distressed look of the ones in the field. They are made of plastic and with all the abuse the get they deform, so I used 2 part epoxy putty to simulate the look.
Not so pretty now with the auto body filler on it. I like the auto filler because it really stands out. The new exterior AC vent is in the side rack for poles or jerry cans, the front turret hole and the two air guard hatches are in plus I doubled up the ceiling to give an accurate thickness to the turret openings and provide need rigidity to the roof.
I will press on with the suspension upper arms and the drive train.
Just a little update for now.
Bill

Dear All
Here is my new project, I will try to scratch the IMV Bushmaster.
Seb
Seb,
Great work. Late 07 the Bushmaster was redesignated "Protected Mobility Vehicle" or PMV. The variants include:
PMTV (Troop)
PMCV (Command)
PMAPV (Assault Pioneer)
PMAV (Ambulance)
PMDFSWV (Direct Fire Support Weapon)
PMMV (Mortar)
PMADV (Air Defence)
My favorite has to be the PMAPV: it comes with a triton work bench!
HTH and good luck.

Here's my contribution.
I made a mold of the seat and lower suspension arm in one piece. After a few tries I got good clean parts without any bubbles. The suspension arms can now be shaped to suit left and right pieces (they taper towards the wheels) and this saves me scratching each one in styrene. A few more seats and I'll have that done.

Hi there guys
That is some really great scratchbuilding. Funny thing was I saw the pics of the bushmaster that are mentioned by chance before I clicked on the build blog and said to myself I wish I could build something like that with all those angles and the like.
It is a real nice looking vehicle and just the sort of motor that would make a great mobile home after its military carreer is over ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, tee hee
Will be watching this build to the end

Great forward progress! Sorry to be have out of touch but I've been on the road north for the past while and only lately with internet and email. I look forward to your new camera's pictures to really see your project. I have mine with me so I will resume the scratching of the transfer cases and suspension components.
Good luck
Bill

Who said that this build will like walking in the park ???
I am working currently on the side boxes and the front aisle with all the angles it is horrible.
Tomorrow pictures, if I am not getting crazy by the time
Well I think it is Cerveza time because i think my bushmaster will fly over the workbench

Sebastian -
Just remember that old saying:
"Sometimes too much to drink is still not enough!!! "
Take a break....breathe deeply.......Options: get some sleep, kick the dog, get laid, go swimming, etc.....
Then come back to the build. You are doing a masterpiece. We all envy your skills and definitely do not want to see that project slung across the room.
Dave
