Dear All
Here is my new project, I will try to scratch the IMV Bushmaster.

Thanks to John from Mouse House AUS for the lay out and i would like to dedicate this blog to Boggie aka Bill that give me this nice idea to build this model.

The building sequence will be as follow

1 Roof top
2 V shape chassis
3 Sides
4 Inside cabin and rear compartment
5 Front part
6 Outside boxes and storages.

Well, the roof is already done. V shaped also. I will try to put some progress pics during the week end

Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi Seb,

I've got some general pics on my site at,

http://www.grubby-fingers-aircraft-illustration.com/bushmaster_walkaround.html

They are general shots of the RAAF airfield defence version, but they may be of some help.

Graeme.

Graeme
I discovered your web site about a month ago as well the link on the Aussie modellers forum (thanks to Frenchy) for the Mouse House scale drawings, both very good sources.
Frenchy found the closest thing to an underneath photo on Military Photos of a BM in Dutch service (below).
What we really need is for some one to crawl under this vehicle and take pictures from both ends underneath and two views front and back of each wheels suspension in relation to the hull. There is one huge coil spring and a shock absorber (each wheel) and I have no idea how they both attach to the independent suspension. There is also the steering rod for the front wheels, no idea how that fits into the mix as well.
A lot to ask of you Dutch and/ or Aussie soldiers, if it is OPSEC I understand.
Thanks for any help
Bill

G'day Seb, I will see what I can do for you re underneath. Are there any other parts you need?
Are you doing the flex mount or the PWS version?

Very neat project. I might have some reference material for you as I was looking at the possibilities for a 1/16 RC one, but that's a bit too difficult for now

Send me a PM if you're interested!

I want to thank Jason Miller for first taking the time to crawl around under a Bushmaster, take many pictures in the nooks and crannies then email me over a dozen pictures of exactly what I needed to understand the complex suspension system this vehicle. Above and beyond in my opinion, hats off to you Jason.
I include one of many.

I could be mistaken but I thought Mouse House John told me he made this for Thales, could be wrong. It found it during those long nights searching for Bushmaster pics, those kind of nights usually pay off.

G'day Bill and Seb,
No John didn't do this one. It is in a weird scale, something like 1/18th or something like that. Made by a bloke on the Central New South Wales coast.

Cheers Jason

Well
the roof is done and the under part also well need to rework it since it is not totally V shape.
If someone has an idea to represent it very welcome ???

Currently working on the left part on the vehicle, since I am using a 1mm styrene sheet it is really hard to cut but the thickness since to match the 1:1

I will post photo later no more battery on the camera.

thanks for looking and thanks for helping

G'day Jason. Mmm, possibly made by the guys at 'defence models' I think. It certainly looks like their work

G'day Shaun,
Nope, this is not one of DMG's. I spoke to Russ in January at his new home in Tumbraumba (my home town to for that matter), and we had spoken about who had done one of these and it wasn't him.

Cheers Jason

Dear all
I have been working really hard on the lower part of the hull in order to have all the angles right.
I also start the front and the interior.
I need also an AM that produce a modern floor diamond pattern, anyone??? Thanks in advance

Please comments welcome

Looking good Seb. The 5 bar anti slip plate is from Lion Roar #LAM008 or you can get the 4 bar anti slip plate from Accurate Armour product number D05.
I like what you've done for the central V area, that's next for me.
