The invasion of Yugoslavia was definently a true Blitzkrieg campaign that almost ended before it started My vehicle will be one of the GD vehicles racing to capture Belgrade before the SS "competitors". The SS won the race and captured the capital. I will probably show it crossing a small river on an improvised raft.

My build will be the Tamiya reissued Sd.Kfz. 223 with PE. I will build it as a Gross Deutsland (GD) division vehicle from the invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941.

Here is the kit:

Here is the general "feel" of the vehicle I will try to achieve. I will not be modelling this exact vehicle as it is a Luftwaffe vehicle used for communication with ground attack aircraft.

Looks like another interesting campaign just started!
I'm going to build small diorama with Polish recon tank TK-3 laying in a trench next to the road and three German soldiers discussing about where they should escort Polish officer POW.
These are TK-3 and figures

And here is TKS in a trench - it's not the tank I'm building but this picture gave me the idea for the diorama:

As you know Bruce, Matt allowed me to enter my PzIIIE. I have been trying to upload some pics of the kit boxes and the various AM stuff that I intend to add to it but I have been struggling. Hopefully when I get a bit more done over the next few days I will be able to put some up.

Hi everyone
There are my polish infantry figures(1939) with heavy machine gun Browning wz.30 from S Model.
They are not completed yet, but I think, that I can show them.

Well , actually finished up and completed my "White Washed" Campaign this last weekend so I might be on a roll to get this one done. I'll be working on "Borders of the Fatherland" also, but have always wanted to do something from the 'Blitzkrieg' period. I just need to finalize my choice which is between a Tristar PzKpfw 38(t) "B" from Rommel's 7th Panzer ("Ghost/Phantom") Division or Dragon's PzKpfw III "E/F" (if I can find one). Want to have a simple diorama showing one or other 'dashing' across France. I'll see what my LHS has available to help the decision, then resort to on-line if I can't get something there. Should be fun, and good to see other "White Washed" veterans joining in.

Found a Dragon PzKpfw III "E" on e-Bay so could go that route, and the Tristar PzKpfw 38(t) "B" is readily available. Now I've been thinking about switching and going for either the Tamiya SdKfz 232 8 Rad or an Italeri SdKfz 232 6 Rad. I want to show one of them racing across the Firestone 'Dutch Draw Bridge' that I'd like to get , so I guess it's a more a matter of whether the bridge would hold the weight or if the vehicle would fit on it. Any inputs are appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Henrik, Yes it is 1/16 scale from Sol. Pretty basic and simple layout, should be a fairly quick build. I'm adding some interior that can be seen through the hatches. The crew will be scratch built, they will take most of the time.

hi, I guess that a small size AFv would be able to cross, but I guess a 38t would be a bit to heavy vor the construction I see, and after 2or 3 tanks the bridge would be scrap( at least the floorboards )
I remember a story about the English/Polish forces liberating Ghent, they had a railroadbridge that was semi destroyed, after 3 shermans crossed it was un usable for anything else then foor soldiers, and that's a bridge made of steel 2cm thick !
I have seen a pic of an Skdf 11? small 1ton one? towing a Flak crossing such a bridge, haven't seen anything larger.

MMM thinking of joining the campaign, I've tried some but never managed to find how what and where to enter and post in a campaign, at least here on the main site, someone please tell me how, pm me, other members gonna get bored
Still have an unfinnished dio , can that enter to?
Or do we have to begin from fresh ?

Mike / Blade,

Ive already spent too much on this and the AM stuff so my base will have to be home made Im afraid from things that I already have. Ive got plenty of seafoam, telegraph poles, barbed wire, plaster, Silflor wild grass matt and a Verlinden cobbled road section but haven't got the faintest idea what Im going to do yet. With that in mind Ive been pushing on with the construction.

Ive never used etched AM stuff before and it was quite intimidating when I took it out of the packet. Ive borrowed the smoke candles off the back of an old tamiya PzIVD too as the Dragon PzIII hasn't got any!!!

Fruil tracks are built and the sprockets are Fruil too.

The other fender should get built latter and the turret tomorrow maybe.

Here are a few progress pics.

Des,
Hot dang your fast. But looking good so far. My poor Panzer II is sitting in its box awaiting its turn at the work bench. I have two destroyers ahead of it. Good thing armor doesn't take as long as a ship.

I should be startign this one some time in mid May, but will be tracking the progress as everyone chuggs along. Maybe by the time you are ready to enter Paris I can be rolling along as well.
