Really interesting requests here Alan, have you singled out a manufacturer yet, or is this not the path you are planning to take?

http://hfmodeling.kitmaker.net/forums/124319&page=1I would be interested to know what this vehicle is. It was bogged down on a muddy road near Gili Gili, where Australian troops were stationed on the shores of Milne Bay, Oct. 1942:
My best guess is a Chevrolet C60L or C15 ??
Best of luck with the plea Al,

Hi Kenneth and Chas,
Thanks for signing up guys, the more support the better. On the manufacturer site, I get hints that someone is interested, Just building up some scale drawings and reference material and awaiting the arrival of my scanner which the wife has kindly offered to get me for xmas
If any one would have scale drawing of the Ford WOA! 4 x 2 Saloon that would be great.
On the 15cwts I have side scale drawing of the Ford WOT2H 15cwt 4 x 2 GS, Guy Quad Ant 15cwt 4 x 4, Morris Commercial C8GS 15 cwt 4 x 4 GS and Bedford MWD 15cwt 4 x 2 GS. but, I could really do with some Top, back and front scale drawings too..
Perhaps another thread is necessary for those.
Cheers
Al

Hi Jeff,
Even a re-issue of this old kit would be welcomed by many. Excellent looking build indeed.

Perhaps we should show the manufacturers this, after all, they will produce any model, even the most obscure ones, as long as it can be marketed with a German Cross on it ....

Hi Henk,
Yip, this isn't a one sided affair, the Germans used a lot of captured Allied vehicles. I was just recently re-reading an account of the Irish Guards History and in it is a passage about then coming across a group of German vehicles just coming out of a wood, in the column was a British fuel tanker of the Guards Division that had been captured the day before.
As the British left all their vehicles behind at Dunkirk they had a lot of choice there too!!
Thanks for the support, Axis modelllers welcome - see top of previous page

Just saw this thread.
Count me in. I love British/Commonwealth soft skins. Some may be ugly but they are so cool too. Kind of what a truck should look like.
Add that and the markings you have very interesting subjects.
Good luck

Hi Jeff,
thanks for joining in. There is so much untapped potential in this area, I'm surprised no one has ever really developed it in 1/35 scale.

I don't know if armored cars would fall into your area of request. but I'll put in a bid for a Saracen in 35th and a Citroen staff car (Tamiya can up scale their 48th one). I know for a while you culd get a lot of those trucks in resin, but I understand as I built an M123c 10 ton tractor and really am not interested in tackling something like that again or paying for it. I think we will not get too much satisfaction here as Dragon seems only interested in making German Panzers and just "upgrading" them when they make more. roblem is folks just keep buying them. I've got 7 Tiger 1s and 4 Tiger 2s. Just how many of those can you build before you get bored at doing the same thing over and over again like an assembly line?

Hi Steve,
,
Yes, Tamiya also have the Tilly in 1/48 - one can but hope. There is a thread similar to this one for post war and modern vehicles but thanks for joining in anyway.
Yes, how many Tigers can you build, I have something similar in number for Shermans but at least I have a bit more choice with ARVs and Dozers on the list.
I doubt Dragon would be interested, but you never know. Bronco or Tasca might be a better bet or even Italeri as they at least do a couple of Commonwealth trucks even if they are 30 years old.
There are other plastic manufacturers getting into the vehicle market so all is not lost. The possibilities for cross/breeding are considerable so this isn't just a British affaire in fact it could be the best of both worlds appealing to both genres.
Time will tell. There is already a company doing a range of Bedfords in 1/72 scale and I did hear rumour of a Austin K2/Y Ambulance next year but you know what rumours are!!!
Mind you working on 'Murphy's Law' and having just iinvested in the Resicast QLR maybe the chances are better than I might think!!!!!
Happy Christmas to you.

Looking at the radiator, could it be the Ford version - F60L ?

Hi Dave, I think you are right.
From Alan's link, see the bogged truck:
http://www.oldcmp.net/historic.html#Anchor-52385Perhaps the Milne Bay truck is a F60L cab 12?

Hi Dave,
You're most probably right. Great looking F60L, did you use the front form the Tamiya FAT?
