Yeh, all my CMPs are based on the Tamiya or Italeri gun tractors or the Italeri C15, chassis extensions from channel stock and plastic card bodies.
I really hope that the original purpose of this thread isn't getting lost - we need more plastic Commonwealth softskins!!
I've tried to scratch/convert a Canadian C15TA with no success, and my C30 bofors tractor, C30 & C60 and F60 conversions could do with a better base kit
Bedford OX series
Humber, Austin, Morris and Guy 8cwt models
Scammels etc
Resin is available, but I hate superglue and they're also very expensive whereas Italeri prices would suit me down to the ground!!

This is where Modellers and manufactures could benifit greatly, Great thread mate!
I want more modern british vehicles like the Armoured trucks used in supply convoys! A good set of plastic british would be great to!

Thought of another one I'd like to see in plastic - although there is already an AA resin kit it's getting into mortgage territory, especially if you add the gun on tow:

You have my support. Your list is exhaustive, better start by asking for the best known vehicles. And yes, a Land-Rover! Now! Revell did at long last give us the Wolf (Mercedes 'G') so what are we waiting for?
Which one? He had three. If they make all three we'd have a Fordson, a Leyland Retriever and a Mack to convert to our heart's desire. And all three in one huge 1/35 boxing would be the Christmas gift to end all Christmas gifts!

I agree we need More Softskins! Not just British or Commonwealth either (But that would be a great start!!!) Think about American Soft Skins nothing above a 2 1/2 Ton Truck?? Dang talk about a wide open Field! Also German and yes Japanese would be nice as well!
Heres Hoping that at least some of these neglected subjects get to see the light of day in Plastic not resin!

It just struck me, writing a reply on another forum. I always loved the RAM Kangaroo, and they were used a lot in the south of the Netherlands. They look great, you could do a lot of stuff with an open-topped tank hull like that (think of the interior!) and with some Canadians riding them they'd look absolutely brilliant.
Alas... no RAM forthcoming, I fear.

I agree Rob, a Ram Kangaroo would be a great model. I scratchbuilt one by making my own vacuform mold, but I would love a plastic kit with an interior. And yes, it does look cool covered in Canadian or British soldiers.
I know this is a little
because an APC is by definition not a softskin, but it is an interesting, lightly armed vehicle. I think turretless shermans were used in Italy in the same role.

I'd welcome any additions that give modellers more choice but I really do feel it's way time we had some New British Trucks.

Hi, I'm new to posting on here! If we're talking trucks I'd like to see a state of the art AEC Matador in 1/35 plus some state of the art World War 1 and between the wars tanks like the MkVIII International and Male and Female tanks - with individual plastic track links which I think is most important.
World War 1 armour has been neglected for far too long by the mainstream manufacturers like Tamiya and Dragon.
