Question, there's a box with a probe attached to the radar mast --- the front portion is sitting on top of a an upside-down U-shaped piece behind the gunner's tub?

Just curious...[quote]
Johnny,
I think the probe would be a pitot tube to measure airspeed as you would have in an aircraft (this is just a guess though), as for the box it goes into it might be part of it or part of the radar above? As for the upside down U-shaped cover that has an oil reservoir in it on the photos of the Bellingham PACV.
Hope this helps.

Kent,
Thanks for taking a look and the very kind comments.

Regards
David

Hi Anton,

WOW really like what you did to this kit! (this is the Master Piece Models one I guess?)
Great weathering!!

any plans to put it in a dio or something?

I suggest you keep focused on the Vietnam era

thanks for posting

Hi Mark!
Happy you like this beast.
It's Masterpiece models resin kit. Really huge and heavy.
No plans on dio becouse I have no enought space on my shelf for it

Hi
Now that is a Real Beauty.
Nice work & Great Paint Job.
Would look even better on a diorama (hint hint).

Anton,
A very nice well used PACV you have there.
The only thing I would do is paint the propeller white with yellow bands at the end, from all the photos of the PACV's I've seen this was very easy to make out and it would add a bit of contrast to your excellent model.
I know what you mean about putting it on a diorama I still haven't got mine on one, partly because I don't know where I would put it!
Thanks for sharing

Beautiful! Sometimes I wonder why I even bother looking at builds like this because I just end up wanting to build one for myself when I can't really afford them
