Dear Bob,

The TA 35300 has just got back in stock from supplier, but the qty just enough to fill the current backorder, thus, we have temp. disable the item from our catalog.

For the TA 35300, we have been seriously affected by the short ship condition as I think TAMIYA has their distribution priority and sequence throughout the worldewide customer.

For the same reason, we will not accept pre-order for any new TAMIYA new release until we have it.

I would like to take this chance to apologize for any trouble caused and you are welcome to ask for assistance via My Request to cancel any pending order in case we cannot meet your demand on time.

Regards

Dear Dave,

Yes, in fact, we have been revising the software in order to "avoid" the trouble happens here. However, several testing indicate that the working load is "too heavy" for exisitng platform (32-bits server, the existing system can only use 3G memory which not sufficient to process the volume that we are facing)

Thank to the latest 64-bits platform, we are now rushing to finish a new design (a new web site) with automated status alert and notification in case of insufficient stock allocation.

Raymond

Dear russ amott,

Yes, you are right. Our average ship time has been extended during the 2008 Q4- 2009 Q2. Owing to the company changes, we have delayed to expand the warehouse to cope with the even increase demand.

But we have finish the warehouse expand in 2009 Q3 as well as staffing. We are rushing more resources to keep up with our even growing demand.

Raymond

guess ill chime in..

ive used LM since the first year they opened, and always loved the free airmail shipping on Legends, and others. Ive found that I can get some items faster from them (like bison decals) than I can from folks here in the states!
But, I have noticed the extended shipping time....and for the first time last week I also experianced the "order in stock, shows up out of stock AFTER i pay" situation. one item (Wolfpack 1/48 F-14D OIF upgrade) is now holding up my order...which is fine, but im just wondering how long it will be untill it ships, AND will the other items I order be held for me, and not sent to somebody else in the meantme? Im not in any rush for these items, so I wasnt too upset.

Yes, its good that you are working on expanding and updating your software Raymond. Im sure that the growth you all saw may have caught you by surpise. Welcome to the free market where you offer good prices, good service, and you will get customers!! LOTS....but slack on the service and your customer base will dry up as fast as it built up.

keep us updated here on Armorama on the progress of your software and staffing updates.

I ordered my Matilda on 8/9 and never got it, finally I asked for a store credit and ordered stuff that hopefully is in stock. I always had good service in the past and they did respond quickly to my messages. Now we will see how fast they ship. I also only ordered stuff with free sipping to maxmize my return.

Bob, it's just not you, I ordered:
8/7/2009 TA 35300 1/35 Matilda Mk.III/IV
It also was in stock..... and same as you.... became unavailable..... then appeared again as in stock, the became unavailable again.
And I'm also still waiting........
Interestingly........ the Matilda shows as "in stock" as of 0630 NYtime today.
I also ordered on the same day - 8/7/09 and on the same order number: 2 -Citroen Traction 11CV that were also were marked "in stock", they also disappeared from stock, not once but twice, the "in stock and Unavailable routine again. Even though I've been told and it's marked as shipped, I'm still waiting for the 2 Citroen Traction 11CV kits.
I wonder if the Matilda will actually be shipped on this instalment of "in Stock" or will it disappear again?

I'll up date this post if and when they do arrive.
I've done business with Ray since he's opened, and the service has gone down hill the past year.

I'm still waiting for mine. Unfortunately I think this order was my bridge too far. I've been a loyal customer for six-eight months and spent quite a bit there but I've had problems with every single order and every time I get told they will do better next time. I think this time I'm just going to vote with my wallet and go elsewhere from now on.

Since I haven't been able to build the last years, no room to build in ( bought a house last week with a 45 sqm room above the garage that will be mine ) , I have only ordered a few things. My first thing was a pretty niche product; Bison Decals from z.b.v. 40 in Norway 1940/1941

It was shown in stock when I ordered. After 2 months of waiting I had to inquire about where it was. Got a fast and polite answer telling me that it had gone out of stock and they were waiting for new ones.I could cancel the order if I wanted to. As I was in no hurry I didn't do that. 1 month later i got it (in all 3 months).

You might think the actions of z.b.v 40 in Norway is a very popular and sought after motive, let med tell you..it is not ( ) The chance of me ordering these decals just after someone else is slim to none. Also since our LHS' all have a healthy stock of these decals. This tells me one thing; they say they have products in stock, when in fact they don't have it. Theire store looks plentyfull but they actually have to order a lot the things they have listed if someone order it.

If I am not in a hurry theire very nice postage rates are more important then the time it takes and especially other "aspects" of their mailhandling since the limit for tollfree mail order in Norway is a whopping $35,- Nice prices on the packages are almost essential

Well I'm still waiting on an order which has been 99% in stock for a week and despite my request for an update being read two days ago I still haven't received a response so as far as I'm concerned they have permanently lost me as a customer. Price isn't paramount to me, customer service is and considering the ammount I spend there I don't like the way they treat me as a customer.

Honestly speaking, I don't know what the whole rant is about luckymodel. I have had nothing but excellent service from them. The key thing about ordering from luckymodel is making sure the item is actually "in stock" before purchasing. Also, if the item is a new release or very popular it is bound to sell out fast. I usually don't buy those, but it seems this is your problem? I agree that they do need to update their inventory system to reflect real-time stock levels.

Just my 2 cents.

Everything WAS in stock when ordered and paid for and for four days afterwards, and no they aren't new release items. I have had this problem with all orders but one and I personally just have chosen to go elsewhere. Everyone else is free to chose for themselves.

You may want to go to the beginning of this thread and re-read the "In-Stock" comments before you post your rant about rants. The problem as stated was that items that show "In Stock" turn to "Out-of-Stock" before they ship or as soon as the transaction is completed. I like LM but I have had my share of frustrating incidents with them. In Dean's case, he is just passing along his experience with them and, to be honest, it should NOT be a case, as someone else stated, of having "good luck" with a company when you order something they clearly label "In-Stock." They (LM) collect payment right away, even for items they label "available", so why can customers complain about service when something is wrong? I've had to wait half a year for an order that never came before I canceled it. I emailed LM several times during this period and although they answered my emails, they kept telling me that the item was going be in their warehouse by the end of the month. Each time I emailed them, I received the same story, until I contacted them and ask to just send me something else that had the same value. I've stopped ordering from them and won't shop there until they fix the glitches with their system. Until them, I rather pay a bit more but actually without worrying about whether I'll get my items or not.

On my last order, I bought 6 items, and 5 of them were available, with only one in stock. I knew about the issues with Available items, but decided to try it.

As I waited for my order to be filled over the following weeks/months, I noticed that as 2 of the items came into stock, the original had dropped back to Available. A little frustrated by this, I emailed them about this and requested that they ship out what was in stock before it vanished too. They had no problems doing this (mind you, all items happened to be free shipping).

From what I have experienced, they have fantastic customer service at Lucky Model, I've been very happy with them over the years. I'm glad to hear Raymond is looking into new software and HW to handle real time tracking, this will make the experience that much better. Last night I finally broke down and took advantage of their pre-Christmas sale, and was happy to see both items were already shipped this morning!
