Everything WAS in stock when ordered and paid for and for four days afterwards, and no they aren't new release items. I have had this problem with all orders but one and I personally just have chosen to go elsewhere. Everyone else is free to chose for themselves.

Just delete the item that is out of stock and have them credit your account. That's what I do if I have to have a model next week so it can sit on my shelves for 5 years.

I've had great experiences with LM to the point where they are my default model store.

I placed an order this morning, 5 items: 2 in stock; 3 "available". Fortunately this time I remembered to ask them to split the order and send what is available. I haven't ordered from them in about 6 months, so I'm curious to see if there's any change in service.

Dear Matan,

I have checked your case and asking HK Post. It seems it is a heavy load pre x'mas period where the package arrive Post Office on 4th Nov , but it just loaded on plane on 15th Nov (too many pending package). Thus, it is delay due to excessive pre x'mas shipment loading.

We will try our best to send out any pending order as much as we can.

Regards
Raymond

Just ordered a second time from LM. First time was on time with no issues. I will continue to order from them so long as they do not give me a bunch of reasons not to.........Al

It seems the HK post offce is overloaded so thanks for letting us know Raymond. I had checked my tracking on parcel yesterday and it had sat at HK post for ten days before leaving, hopefully all my parcels will arrive next week, cheers Bob.

I had wondered what was going on, LM filled and shipped my order the day after I placed it (29/10), but HK post tracking said it didn't leave until the 10th of November.

Other than that, which was not Ray's fault, I've been perfectly happy with their service.

I order from LM (and other HK based hobby shops) since at least 3 years. I must say that ordering at the end of the year, even already mid November is risky because of the Xmas. Sometimes I prefer to wait till end of DEcember very beginning of January.

Hello,

in spite of some complaints which have occured here recently, I still ordered some things at LM.

I had placed and paid my order on December 9th.

A few hours later (~ 3-4 hrs, not more) the order was indicated as shipped.

That's fast...reallyreallyreally fast.

After another few hours I received a mail that the item was shipped.

Now the scoop: Supplied today - after 7(!) days AND during the pre-X-mas period

I am impressed by both LM and the postal services.

Additionally I like to mention that LM is as reliable as a Swiss watch.

Usually I order small items in a bunch: Paints (Tamiya acrylics and enamels), masking tapes, glues, PEs etc.

LuckyModel has never ever forgotten or mistaken a single item!

Once you know how to read Lucky Model, you will appreciate all the advantages this shop provides.

I have to agree with Marco,
I have only recently had one small lissue....and I think its because what was seen as "in stock" then got updated later and then was OOS... no biggie...I did get the remainder of my items shipped (including one that needed to be ordered from Wolfpack). Package was shipped earlier this month, so should be here today/ tomorrow. It still has to travel across the US to get to me in FL.

so they had some growing pains...big deal. What thriving business doesnt? They seem to be addressing the issues.

Im happy with LM, and will continue to use them in the future!

I agree with what Andy said
"so they had some growing pains...big deal. What thriving business doesnt? They seem to be addressing the issues. "

I had a couple of hic-cups with them as of late but I just contacted them through their site
and the issue was resolved quickly and politely with no fuss.

They just need to update their system of knowing whats in stock and keeping the site
updated
(live if possible if you know what I mean)
Keep up the good work LM

Have tried them recently, placed an order on Sunday, December 12th, and received their shipment notification on Monday, December 13th
No troubles in my last orders either
As other people mentioned, the issue may be in the update of in stock items...

Another tip, if you're ordering "Available" items, it to monitor your order item statuses. As soon as something changes from "Available" to "In Stock" you've got to ask them to dispatch it. Just because it's "In Stock" doesn't mean they'll set it aside for you. Probably due to system limitations, they'll wait until the entire order is "In Stock" before putting the order together and posting.

An example is a model kit and 2 sets of PE I recently ordered. The model kit is from a popular manufacturer and resupply is every 2-4 weeks. The kit was Available when I ordered is, as was the PE. About a week ago the kit became In Stock, but the PE was still Available. At that point I contacted LM about the expectant resupply date of the PE (the one set originating from Poland, the other China). Correspondence went back and forth over a few days, and during that time the kit status went back to Available (after which the Chinese PE set became In Stock ). Upon LM's own advice, I was advised to split the shipment - the PE was dispatched, and the very next day the kit was back in stock (and I had them send it off - unfortunately for LM it was too late to combine the shipments )

So the long winded point is: monitor your orders, and keep the communication channels open.

My second order came in from LM, four or five days late, but I got the stuff that I asked for. With the Christmas package overload at the post office, I can see why it was later than sooner. I do not fault them and will continue to buy from them..........Al

I suppose Lucky Model has yet to learn any lessons. I ordered an $80 item from them on 3-16 . At the time I ordered, the status was "In Stock" . Yet a week later it changed to "Available" ..but noone bothered to contact me to inform that they didnt have it and it hasnt shipped ..Though they charged my card instantly. After hearing they would get it in this week, and still they have not , I canceled the order, heres their reply.
"Dear Tim Sloan, Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize for not being able to give you an update on stock status in time, your order CM1003-101616 has been canceled, you will receive a refund in 14 working days. Please kindly note that we are on Easter Holiday from 4/2-4/6. There will be delay in refund processing. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Regards, Jan"
hmm...they charge me instantly , never bother to let me know they dont have the item, and now they want to hold my money for another 14 days? really bad business.

I had the same such run around and promises, but after I forwarded all the emails of them telling me what they would do (and didn't) to my credit card company, the refund was swift and instant.

Never again.

Welcome to "Desperate LuckyModel Housewives". I have also become cautious about them after similar incidents. Now I use LuckyModel mainly for search and price comparison, then switch to another Honkong e-shop, whose site is awfull still, but who serve my orders more carefully. And they both update their sortiment with similar items with difference of couple of days (probably from the same bulk dealers), so you can really check the pulse

I have used LM several times with no problems other than once when my credit card would not be accepted. I waited a few days and submitted it again and it took the order and sent it. Some of the stuff that my fellow modelers are experiencing has me just a little on the paranoid side and wondering what issue I might encounter in the future. LM has good prices and a good selection of stuff that you will never see in the local hobby shops. As for them takeing your money instantly and then taking their sweet time for the refund , I say that is so very wrong to hold and use anyones money like that. It's a shame and I know of a bank that pulled that on my girfriend by holding some checks that they had no right to..........Al
