Thank you for your kind comments guys.
The figures are from
Adalbertus. They have lots of nice stuff. Not cheap but nice.
The tank crew is modified from Hobbyfan, using one Verlinden head, one Legend head and a Tamyia Thompson gun.
Hobbyfan Of cause I will be using the ammon creates. One should note that the rounds shown on the box art of the Hobbyfan item are NOT included. I added 75mm rounds from Tamiya. I guess the missing 1.62cm won't show i the final diorama.
Cheers,
Guido

Some great builds and posts here.
Warren - I think we all can appreciate your finding the PE part. The floor of my workbench is bare concrete rather than carpet, and I still have trouble finding parts that fly from my tweezers. By the way, did you use your found PE part? My only "critisizm" on your build is I would like to see it on a base. Plus some pictures from your vehicle's ground level.
Max - how do you like the Cavalier zimmeritt? Do you like the finish better than using putty and a Trumpeter or Tamiya tool? Looking forward to it being finished with a coat of paint.
Guido - I am glad you recognize the importance of how eyes are painted on figures. Your pics do show the whites of the eyes a bit bright, which draws atttention away from your excellent uniform painting.
Hope to post some pices of my gun towing Blitz by this weekend.

This is the first time I'm applying zimmerit on a vehicle, so I have never used putty as zimmerit before. I did purchase the tools though, so I'm definately going to use putty in the near future.
The Cavalier zimmerit did not fit 100% perfectly on the vehicle, I had to use putty to fill up some spots (eg. on the sides, the panels were too short). Maybe I should have stretched the stuff (very thin rubber) a little bit more... Where the different zimmerit panels meet, you'll need putty to make the zimmerit of the different panels connect. The Cavalier zimmerit is a very quick and user-friendly method to get zimmerit on a vehicle though.

Well It looks like I will have to choose another vehicle for this Blitz 3 Italy build. I thought that there would be an option of using tires on the AB40 rather than the steel wheels for use on railroad tracks. Unfortunatley there is not 6 wheels included in the kit. The Railway based AB40 was only used by the Italians and Germans in Yugoslavia not in Italy itself.

It does look wicked, doesn't it?

I've been trying to get a decent 1/35 conversion, but didn't have the heart to "sacrifice" a DML kit for it; so I stayed with the 1/72 version.

Just love this Italian campaign, especially the Bergtiger.
Here is the latest on my Pak 40 being towed by an Opel Blitz. Finally received my "leaves" from an overseas order placed a few months ago, so I added foliage to the gun:

And here it is being towed by an Opel Blitz:

I am hoping to add some foliage on the Blitz as well to complete the scene.

I did post my projekt photos on the wrong forum, here is the start of my entries which are two Fw 190s from Dragon an A-8 and an A-5 which was backdated from an A-6 which is from the boxing of a G-3. I have built a few of these kits and know most of the short comings. Thus I installed a piece of sprue to spread the fuselage thus creating a good wing root to fuselage fit. The A-5/U8 is modelled after II/SKG 10 which came from Airwarpublications excellent book. The A-8 which was modified to an F-8 came from Authentic decals which represents I/NSG 9 from Vilaranza di Verona Italy. My upload of the photos is taking too long will upload them at a later date.

Great things are happening here!
I progress my project by preparing bits and pieces that will add to the tank and scene. These items are from Tamiya, Academy and Verlinden. Funny everything looks OD even though the boxes should be clearly wooden brown.

As a first working step on tank parts I connected the Modellkasten tracks into lengths of 9 pieces.
These are a great improvement over the kits parts. I do hope they'll fit as good as they look.
I have unpacked a handful of tank parts this afternoon and have decided to not use all the Verlinden replacement parts for the interior to keep this project within acceptable time limits. Tomorrow I hope to assemble and finished the all the running gear and road wheels to the stage of being ready to be painted.
Cheers,
Guido

Hello everyone. I am starting a little late, but I think I'll manage to finish on time this 1/72 AnzioAnnie from Hobby Boss.

More soon
